Updated: last trip here I ordered a beverage that tasted like chemicals, as if they cleaned a container and didn't rinse, with a weird almost fermented taste to it. It was dangerously not consumable. Reached out to Wendy's and no response. Potentially too understaffed or making too many mistakes to keep up with the problems? Either way, hard pass on this location, there's three other Wendy's within ten miles, go to those instead.
Original: Standard of the new remodel for Wendy's restaurants, with a faux fireplace and a couple of loveseats and a coffee table and 2 outlets for casual visits, booth seating and tables, as well as a "roomlet" with 3 booth seats and 3 two person tables. A bar like area with 3 chairs also has power outlets available for mobile lifestyle use. Near the bar seating is a large screen television that is kept at a reasonable and non distracting level.
The location is well planned and positioned so that the sunlight outside is not invasive in the afternoon or evening times, even with the dining room having almost 2 full walls of mostly glass.
The drink stations are the new touch screen automatic systems that provide a plethora of drink options, something that keeps me returning to Wendy's above other options out there, being a person who is very particular about what i'm drinking.
There is a small outdoor eating area with 4 tables and umbrellas for each. One of the tables outside and at least one half booth in the restaurant are designed specifically for wheel chair friendly seating.
The staff are not classically professional in demeanor but are authentic, energetic, and generally provide a good experience. My family has frequented this location often due to it's convenient location right at the "gateway" to Westmoreland county.
Personal positive experiences here include my wife having lost her credit card here, and the staff was honest and easy to deal with on retrieving it, while also maintaining security, verifying she was the card owner before releasing it.
The down sides, and they can be significant depending on your take.
First the wifi is horrendous if this matters to you.
The dining room is not as clean as it could be, from what I gather a large portion of their business is drive thru based so the focus and attention is heavily on that side of things. My present visit (18 July 2019) there are flies in parts of the dining room that have attempted to invade my space multiple times.
If you do plan on any form of dining experience or getting some computer work in, I would recommend passing on this location and making the extra drive to the Wendy's in Delmont where their wifi is good and their dining room is maintained more carefully. Down side of that location is cell signal is lacking for...
Read moreBesides a small bit of confusion and an accidental altercation it was a great stop. Went through the drive through and they asked me to pull ahead to the red bar by the door to allow the people behind me to keep moving. Well my son needed to pee so we just went inside. When I tried to tell them i was a drivethrough order I just came inside to wait 2 girls stared blankly. So i repeated myself more slowly and precisely and then literally every employee but 1 was now staring at me then each other then me again. A little irritated I may have raised my voice but for the life of me I thought I was speaking mandarin or something. At this point the girl at the front started to cry, an older manager then stepped in and I said quickly "I was drive through, now Im here to wait inside" all was well then. I smoothed things over with the emotional girl because Im a big softy. I just have little tolerance or patience for stupid and I was getting it in overload. Food...
Read moreWe will not be coming to this Wendy’s ever again, we came from Washington Pennsylvania on a job in this area and stopped for lunch since was on 22. Also get this the reason the experience was bad mostly because 2 employees were fighting when we were in drive thru, my fathers burger was cold, my chicken sandwich was cold, they messed up our order my father had to go back in, they gave me honey mustard I didn’t order with the biggie bag, the first order they only have us one large fries, burger for the biggie bag and 4 nuggets and the buffalo sauce they have now. They also only gave us one straw. This ain’t my first location of Wendys I had problems with and hopefully will be the last. The other one was in wv but they got better because when I was a kid they forgot my burger by accident in my kids meal. Won’t be going back. Also make sure employees ain’t fighting at this location never had that problem before with an experience at a restaurant...
