Our family stopped by here on a Sunday evening; not many places open in Whitehall on a Sunday but we found Pub 111 and we were pleased. We order a Big Bang chicken sandwich, appetizer, the walleye basket, and a kid’s cheeseburger. Everything was very good, the kid’s cheeseburger was very large, perfectly cooked, and juicy (made me wish I had ordered a burger). Atmosphere is your basic bar. Waitress was friendly. Prices were very good and on Sundays the offer all of their weekday specials. We’ll stop by here again as there were several other items we wanted to try including the burger options; there is a jalapeño choice. Four meals and three beers we walked out paying just under $50.

One of my Green tea shots were super small compared to the other ones (3 over all and 1 was in a super small glass but was still $5 compared to the normal ones we got) Our waitress didn’t give us our $10 change, we walk up to the bar for the change 20 minutes later and she didn’t even give us it all!! The change was 9.18 and we got $7. Not gonna be back for a while left a bad taste in my mouth.

We went on taco Tuesday and only one of us got tacos. They were good. The adult grill cheese is the way to go. Both the tater tots a fries were delicious. It’s pub food but good. The service was good and our drinks were replenish frequently. We were from out of town and you could tell this was a local hangout and everyone was welcoming.

We stopped here on our way through Whitehall. Definitely great value but the food was nothing special. If you're looking for better-than-average bar food with friendly service, this is your place.

The bartender was friendly but was obviously not familiar with all of the beers on the draft list. She said she only worked 2 days a week and apologized for not being able to find it. We helped her locate the tap:) I found it endearing. I ordered the Brut IPA which was a bit flat, but not worth sending back. It was cold. It was beer. We noticed they had a Tuesday special for 1 appetizer and 2 burgers for $22. We asked the bartender how the Bang Bang Shrimp appetizer was. She said it was really good so we decided to give it a shot and take advantage of the special.

After we placed our order, I became a little annoyed because there was an empty seat at the end of the bar with a cell phone and some other personal items. The cell phone alerts were going off continuously with the volume at a fairly high level for at least 5 minutes while no one was around to claim the phone. I said to my husband, "That is really starting to bother me. Who leaves their cell phone unattended to disturb other people anyway? If you are working on something that requires communicating with someone via phone, why would you not keep your phone on your person? Just then, the manager walked out of the back and sat down at that very seat at the bar. I said, "You had a lot of alerts going off while you were away." She looked over at me and said un-apologetically, "Yeah. I know."

Anyway, the Bang Bang Shrimp appetizer was decent but nothing special. (A lot of restaurants have their own version of this dish and I have found it pretty much tastes the same wherever you go). The shrimp didn't have much flavor, was not seasoned, or was not of a high quality, or all of the above. The batter was...OK. At least the romaine was nice and crunchy and the sauce was flavorful. Not a bad dish. Not the best I've ever had.

Our burgers were well done but the bartender didn't prompt us for a temp when we ordered so I kinda figured it was gonna be that way. The tots were good. The house made chips were surprisingly the highlight of the meal. The pickles (though not house made) were good. The burgers were good. Overall, great value and fine place to stop if you're looking for bar food that tastes alright and won't make you sick to your stomach.

The manager and I had only friendly interactions after that. I'm sure she's a nice person. She just needs to keep her phone on her while she is working so as not to disturb...

We came here to celebrate my 60th birthday. We arrived at 6:00pm. It wasn't till around 6:20 till we got water and placed a drink order. At 6:30 our drink orders came. We got a little pitcher of water and 3 glasses for 6 people. We got our alcoholic drink order another 10 minutes later. At this point we placed our food order. We all got the specials for the night. At 7:30, our food came. Except one of the members of our party didn't get her food. 10 minutes later, her food came. After we had finished our meals, our appetizer came. Around 8:00, they dimmed the lights, so now we couldn't see each other, and the band started playing, so we couldn't hear each other. I have been to Pub 111 many times before and never had such crappy service. I doubt if I can go back there again. I would not...
