Harvey's — Restaurant in Montague

Good morning My first time to eat at Harvey's I was so excited. I read the reviews they were ok.so we decided to try. We got it to Go The lamb kabob was so hard and no sauce the devied eggs were slimy and gross. The spinach salad was just ridiculous . It cost 32 dollars and I left a 5 tip Sad we just threw away 37 to the garbage can. I wish I had listened to the reviews. It's a place to meet for there fancy beers and drinks 🍸 I will not return...again only drinks all of our food was to sad to eat We had grill cheese. On the positive side: Service was good, atmosphere is nice and the drinks and salad were yummy. The cooked food was disappointing. The shrimp cakes were a hot mess served brown, watery, and cold; the short ribs were not cooked tender and arrived room temp. We were even asked our opinion on the fish dish and we gave them our honest answer, and still got charged even though we could not eat them. I've been twice now, and the food is a hit or miss depending on what you order. A number of the dishes have a main thing that's extremely bland (read: not that tasty) by itself, and a good sauce on the side. Drinks are strong, which feels like a bandaid for the plates that are lacking. Both the brownie and whipped cream were saturated with alcohol, which wasn't specified on the menu. Hopefully the 10 yr old with his family didn't have a craving for chocolate...
