I'm sorry to say this but before covid-19 issues, this bakery was on my 1 of 3 of my favorite list, but unfortunately not anymore. I bought 9 bolillos yesterday, and the young (cashier) told me that those (bolillos) were from that day, well to my surprise, as soon as i wanted to use them for some bologna torta 4my kids, "they were still like "omg", dry from the inside, like if these were from days before!! The variety was nice, but they had the bread scattered throughout different sections of the bakery with no instructions on if you were supposed to grab it yourself or what. The actual bread I ended up going was a cream cheese cubilete and was disappointed by how dry and flavorless it was, especially considering it was more than a dollar for such a small size as well. Something so simple should be easy to pull off, so I can't hope that the more intricate baked goods...
Read moreI ordered two red chile and one sweet tamales this past SAT. All three tamales were mostly maza. The amount of meat was miniscule and the sweet tamale had only one raisin. Both types had good flavoring but no actual substance. The tamales from Tamales Liliana's in ELA are much better and authentic. The tamale in the pic is the sweet, raisin tamale, just as I cut it open, do you see any raisins? I went to this place because I was too lazy to drive to Tamales Liliana's in ELA and I paid for it.
