Hot and miss place for sure these days. Food and service. Would have passed after my last visit, but came for a reception after a funeral and was pleasantly surprised that the food and service was closer to what I remember of their glory days. especially since we were such a large party and only one server for about 25 people. I guess I’ll have to try again with smaller group. Anyway, tried the camarones al diablo which were tasty and really spiced, which I love and rarely find (spicy that is). My GF also tried the milanesa which was tasty. The beans and rice really set them apart this time. Everything was nice a fresh. Maybe it’s the time of day? We were here for lunch this time and last time was dinner and things didn’t seem as fresh. Anyway, happy to find an old haunt is still able to serve great food. ——-

Not the same Ordonez I grew up on! Quality and flavor was lacking on my carnitas burrito and beef taco. Carnitas was hard and chewy and taco was greasy and not crispy. Tasted like it was fried in really old oil. My buddy’s asada was tasty but hard to chew. Best thing there was the guacamole. I really enjoyed the rest of my burrito, as the beans and tortilla was very tasty, so maybe just an off night for carnitas. Free chips and salsa were also really good to start off the meal, so not a complete waste, but was so looking forward to the flavors from my past and it just didn’t live up to those standards on this night. The person I go to lunch with talked me into going back to this restaurant and one of the waitresses came to me to tell me she spoke with the management about the below post and that the prior waiter was incorrect. That I am to tell future waiters/waitresses to see management if the below happens again. This waitress went out of her way to help me! Bless her heart...I had a wonderful experience today.

I have been going to Ordonez for several years. On Tuesday they have a special Taco Tuesday which is 2 taco's and a soft drink. I do not drink soft drinks so the management said that regular customers can substitute a soft drink for coffee. Today our waiter looked at my companion and said Sir your drink is free and then he looks at me and says "and you...your drink is not". I tried to explain what management said and he walked away from the table. When he came back, I again tried to talk with him and again he walked away. When he came back the third time he said so are you paying for your coffee or are you have a soft drink. I told him that I do not want either one. Ordonez lost me as a good customer today, not only do I go every Tuesday with the office, but I take my clients there and my family. It was not necessary for the waiter to be so rude and so nasty - if there was a change in the management policy then he should have communicated this to us. My wife I and my sister in law went Ordonez Mexican restaurant to celebrate my birthday. It's been many years we haven't been to Ordonez Mexican Restaurant I can't remember when but we came to celebrate my wife birthday. We step in the restaurant, and it looks very nice one side of the restaurant the other side is the bar and thing I not sure it's been many we haven't here. We walk in and we were greet by waiter and esort us to the table and he hand us the menu then we were look and decided what to order.

My wife order first she got the chili renello and chicken crispy taco it come with rice an bean and sister in law order the taco salad and I order the chile relleno with chicken crispy taco and we order a bowl of fresh guacamole and other order of chips and salsa.

The chips and salsa were very good the chips were nice and warm and homemade salsa was amazing good. I really enjoy the chili renello and chicken crispy taco and the rice and beans they prepare everything fresh and made to order the food was season well I enjoy it. My wife and my sister .in law enjoy their food and the mooguacamole was really good using high quality ingredients After we finished our meal the waiter brought a flan for my wife.
