Tam's Burgers — Restaurant in Montebello

This location use to be a lot better. My family loved the chef salad and honestly that's the main reason for our visit. We had an issue about a year ago with the chef salads missing the eggs. I called and was told by the employee eggs were extra cost. We have never before special ordered eggs, they were always provided like a chef salad should be and the picture they advertise shows eggs and no notice of extra cost. Believe me they have notes all over about extra cost for everything. Things cost I get it. Anyway nothing was done about it. Ok fine we decided we'll stop going for the salads. We hadn't been back since then. Well, lesson learned again tonight. I guess our fault for giving them another chance. We ordered 4 chef salads and same picture is up with eggs and still no notice of extra cost but hey I knew from the last time. Get home and some salads have little meat and all ham no turkey and the worst part, all of them filled with water. I myself didn't order a salad but my kids complained their ranch was watery. When I checked the salads they were floating in water. Ok I called and I hate to call when there is an issue but enough already. I won't blast his name on here but I spoke with what was suppose to be a manager, I don't think so cause he hesitated to give me his name and said he was the cook, gave me the run around. I explained what we got and didn't get and of course he defended his work and wouldn't listen. It sad when long standing establishments like this will take your money no problem but refuses to fix when there is one. I will mention the young male cashier very sweet and professional. Tams, you need to get back to good quality food and train your employees to handle escalated issues with professionalism and not argue. I love this tams location. The other locations can't compare to this tasty O.G. spot. Yes, eating here too often is probably bad for your longevity but dipping in once in a while is ok. LoL. The DUI fries are not cheap but damn, you get a mound of meat on top of chili cheese fries!!! They're a little light on the chili, because there is a lot going on top of these fries they don't put as much chili as on the regular chili fries, so I usually ask for extra chili separately. LoL. I know, what a fatty. Hahaha. Round it out with a large Orange Bang and it's the best cheat...

I was in the area and I had a craving for a burger and chicken strips. I ordered a cheese burger combo with a side of chicken strips. I thought it was tasty. The location is an older one and kinda small compared to the other locations I've been to. I ate inside and the atmosphere was pleasant and cool (temperature wise). After my meal I decided to top it off with a vanilla shake and enjoyed that as well. Joshua the employee that took my order was very courteous and professional.
