Starbucks — Restaurant in Montgomery Township

I got a really bad reaction to the drink I ordered in the drive through today. My throat is still swollen and I am still coughing. The person taking my order wasn’t fully paying attention because she was talking to her friends in the Starbucks. She also might have gotten distracted by the person ahead of me in the drive through since they seemed to be friends as well and were flipping eachother off through the window and laughing. First, she handed me a water and I told her I actually had a different order. She gave it to me but I noticed it looked slightly odd in the cup. I made sure to at least check the label before I left to make sure it didn’t have dairy. I am not able to have dairy. But the first sip tasted like there was dust or dirt in it and my throat started swelling up automatically. By the time I got home I was in pain and I was coughing it up. I went in to get a coffee and the small girl with the goth makeup was very nice and helpful. There was a small mix-up and she was really good about resolving it favorably

6/25/2025 edit: I have since returned to the store since my original review. The establishment fell below my KPIs if I'm being honest. Friendly interactions were present but need to be better balanced with service speed. On the sigmoidal curve of diminishing returns between friendliness and drink preparation speed, I think the derivative could be optimized. I also noticed that one of the partners pants were #000080 instead of #000000 and the GSM was closer to 350 or 400, potentially indicating denim. Yikes. Very spacious inside and there are tons of places to work and sit. It’s loud like all the others but you’ll be able to have your on workspace there. Go see Alex! My son loves him and he’s very patient. This Starbucks is farrrrrr better than Hillsborough. It’s just the friendly service, I find that some baristas at Hillsborough aren’t really friendly.
