An Udder Sensation — Restaurant in Monticello

My husband & I have been looking for a local ice cream shop & we stumbled upon this one! We entered with high hopes, but sadly, we were disappointed. The lady taking our order was very rude. As this was my first time here, I was not aware of placing my order in one spot & paying at another spot. I tried paying with the lady who took my order, & she became visibly annoyed. It was a simple mistake & there was no need for attitude. On top of that, I accidentally mispronounced a word, & she got even moreso visibly annoyed & even frustrated. Once I got my ice cream, which was a one scoop turtle in a waffle cone. Throughout the entire ice cream, I literally only had 3 pecans. In my opinion, that's pretty lame, when ordering a turtle ice cream, I would think that there should be more than 3 pecans, but I may be wrong. Overall, the experience was one that was not one of my best. Perhaps the worker was having an off day, or the ice cream wasn't prepared as it should have been. A friend recommended me to try 'burnt butterscotch' so we had to stop by before heading back to West Lafayette. I popped in to get a small dish to go to share with hubby.( he wasn't hungry for ice cream) I was greeted by truly friendly staff. Sadly there wasn't a tub of BB but they offered the pints for sale. I was concerned it would melt before getting home as we weren't going directly home. The owner went WAY above and beyond and opened a pint and scooped out my serving. She said now she can take the rest home as it was one of her favorites. Stopped by for a quick ice cream before a movie. Cute place, love that you have games to play. The young man was helpful. The young lady was rude. If we asked what was in something she would frownly stare. At times he filled in the blank. One of her actual answers was “everything” ( twice) she leaned backwards on the counter shrugging her shoulders in a jerk.
