Bluestone Grill — Restaurant in Monticello

Tldr: good food, good price, terrible manager who will yell at you for bringing up anything that goes wrong

I was there a while ago when this happened but it still makes me extremely upset.

I am not sure if the problem manager still works there as I have not been back since this incident.

When I went there, there must have been tons of new people, which is fine but it resulted in me getting a burrito that was basically half hour cream and half guacamole (I'm talking over a half a cup of each in it). This burrito was inedible, but I wasn't angry mistakes happen and these people were clearly new.

When I reported this to a worker, he got the manager. Perhaps I was is the wrong here, but I showed the manager the burrito explaining the situation. I was not angry or antagonistic while explaining, but maybe something was miscommunicated which started this whole event. He was immediately unpleasant and started raising his voice at me. There were customers in the dining area and I didn't want to make a scene. I was nearly in tears when he just kept repeating "What do you want me to do" over and over again in this absolutely poisonous tone. I was 16 years old when this happened. This grown manager felt comfortable yelling at a 16 year old girl in the middle of a pact store. It was humiliating and super upsetting.

I tried my hardest to be pleasant while explaining my situation, if there was any rudeness which may have caused this it was completely unintentional. The leadership here is appalling.

Me, my boyfriend, and his family (who previously went frequently) have never been back. This incident completely ruined our experience there.

Thankfully there was one nice girl on staff who said she'd make me a new one and was super kind and patient with me. Food is good when there isn't an inedible amount of guacamole and sour cream. Portion is large for the price you get so it's overall...

This restaurant Bluestone Grill is amazing, they are a small business restaurant similar to a Chipotle or a Qudoba, with their menu. They have a great interior that is filled with tables and high tops which is perfect for just a couple of people, there are also some bigger tables for families as well. They have a very clean and put-together interior as well as kind and upbeat employees at all times. The service is amazing. The employees are always speedy and efficient. No matter how long the line is, the wait is never too long and is always worth it because their food is some of the best in town. Their food is Mexican style, and they specialize in burritos and burrito bowls. They also have more items on their menu you can order from, they also have a nice kids menu that includes the classic chicken tenders and fries for anyone who prefers those. I love this community gem. The easiest way to explain the concept of this restaurant is to say that it is like Chipotle of your dreams. It has the line and options very similiar to chipotle, with options like real shrimp and really nicely flavored rice and beans. I do not like spicy food at all, and they accomodate my preference very nicely. They even offerred to let me have plain corn as I did want corn, but not the jalepeno corn. There are other options on the grill and it is always busy. Being able to see all of the food being prepared in a clean atmosphere with competent and clean employees is a rare treat in todays world. The cashier is always multi-tasking and is very helpful and energetic. The dining room is very spacious and clean.
