The problem arose when we visited King Buffet after our departure from the campground. There was an ad on the campground map for their buffet. It stated the type of buffet (lunch or dinner) and how much per age group. The add also listed their hours, phone number, and address. We went there to eat because it was such a good deal. There were no restrictions on those prices in the ad. When the bill came, they tried charging us significantly more. When I questioned them about it and showed them the ad, they said it was two years old and they only advertised in one place (I can't remember the name of the paper). I told them that the campground isn't going to give away ad space and they had to proof and pay for that space. The manager got very rude and told me that everyone knows their pricing. I told him that I am from out-of-town and have no way of knowing their prices. He told me that he would not honor the ad and I told him that I would not pay the price he was trying to charge me. I said I would pay the advertised price plus drinks and tax. I asked to talk to the owner but he said they were out-of-town (it turns out the owner was in the back). I even confirmed with him that I was at the right restaurant. The manager called 911 and told them that we were trying to leave without paying. When the officer (Nate C. Miller) arrived, I showed him the ad and our departure tag from the campground with yesterday's date...proving that we stayed there. I told him that we made no indication that we were going to leave without paying. I just wanted to pay the advertised price. After examining the ad, the officer advised the manager that he needed to honor the ad because there are no restrictions listed. He also told the manager that the restaurant can't punish me if they have incorrect information. The officer even said that it was bait-and-switch. After much arguing and discussion (and about 30 minutes), the manager finally agreed to honor the ad price. As he was ringing me up, he switched tickets. I told him that he couldn't do that. He said the server had given me the wrong ticket. I told him that wasn't my problem. I took back the right ticket, added up the cost of the meal per the advertised price, added the price of the drinks and 7% sales tax. We didn't...

Im actually shocked as I had leftovers from another location and not only did they not taste right, but the smell of reheating them was something else. So, if you have leftovers from King Buffet, that even two days old they age in flavor nicely as a roast, veggie soup, or chili does!
9/29/2018 This is the 2nd time Ive ate there, but the first time Ive ordered for pickup. And the food was fresh and deciduous even at 3:45 p.m.
And I LOVE their way they do the chicken on a stick. They do it that way at China Star in Oklahoma and Im very happy that King Buffet does it the same way to.
Too bad that I couldnt take home some dessert, as I love the vanilla pinwheel cake, but he said that they didnt know how to price it. I was willing to give him $5 for a log of it...lol
Its a small buffet, but it is fresh and...
Read moreNot happy at all with this place. So sad . I called and had an order placed for pickup. The one thing I ordered they didn't have a part for that item no problem. I changed that part of my order. However when you look at their menu it says egg rolls come in two an order. So I told her I wanted 5 orders of egg rolls. Guess what I got 5 egg rolls not 10 then they told me 20 minutes to pickup I waited 20 min before I left to give them time incase they were busy. I arrived there and there were a total of 9 people in the place . I still had to wait for my food. They weren't busy then they screwed up my order and to top it off panda express has better food than them. That is like saying taco Bell has better food than an authentic Mexican restaurant. A waste of 30 dollars. Won't go back. I recommend you save your money and go...
