Taco Express — Restaurant in Monticello

How unfortunate. This place is one of the go to spots usually to go to. But with in the past few months it has just been spiraling downward. First time, my boyfriend ranted and raved about how good there food was. He was right the first time. But the quality, and service has dwindled. Second time I tried there food a few weeks after. I got the tacos again., this time they were chewy and greasy barely anything in them….third time they were dry meat with greasy tortillas even said don’t fry the tortilla and again barely anything in it. Now, My boyfriend went today to get two burritos, drove home to realize. They gave him two walking tacos instead….they didn’t notice it wasn’t the right food? I know he didn’t either but he just worked all day… but seriously that’s a big price jump right there. He calls, returns to the store for them to look at him like he was at fault for their mistake. No apologizes, no here’s a free drink for our mistake. Just rude. The customer service and communication between staff has got to change. I understand they could be busy, or got them mixed up but that wasn’t the case. They weren’t busy in the drive through or inside…. Do better...

My family always goes here, I consider them to have the best tacos In Monticello. Picked up food tonight and bought 9 steak tacos and a nacho supreme plus some other things. 55$ all together, and every single taco seemed like I had half the usual meat, I mean there were TINY. Also my wife’s nachos had literally 2 pieces of chicken in it. Super disappointed, I hate to say but starting to form a bad opinion on this place. Also half the workers are very friendly and helpful, the other half acts like customers are a nuisance. They forgot to give me my fries before, and the teen girl gave me a huge attitude like it...

I went to pick my food up and got home and it was nothing of what I ordered. That’s fine, it happens. I call them and they tell me to bring it back and get my order. I go back and when I tell them my order they say they never got an order for that. They said I must’ve called the Lafayette one, I didn’t. So I reorder there and wait with my daughter. I went home with the food and there was refried beans spilt out of the containers. Refried beans that were super watery. And chicken and rice that was sloppily put together. They STILL forgot my daughters cheese quesadilla and they also forgot my chips. Overall...
