My spouse and I found ourselves in need of a speedy food stop, and our trusted friend recommended this local gem – a Mexican restaurant that left us utterly amazed! From the complimentary chips and salsa to the outstanding service provided by Louis, our dining experience was nothing short of exceptional.

For our meal, I opted for the Supreme burrito, and as you can discern from the accompanying photo, it was a colossal delight. While our meal wasn't served on traditional plates due to our time constraints (we had to rush back to Denver), the presentation was still top-notch. The flavors were absolutely sensational, and we couldn't have been more pleased with our choice.

To begin with, let's talk about the welcoming atmosphere of the restaurant. As soon as we stepped inside, we were greeted by warm smiles and an inviting ambiance. The interior decor exuded a charming Mexican aesthetic, transporting us to a different world, albeit briefly. It was evident that the establishment took pride in creating an authentic experience for its patrons.

One of the highlights of our visit was the complimentary chips and salsa that were brought to our table as soon as we were seated. The salsa had just the right balance of spice and flavor, while the chips were perfectly crisp and served warm. It's these small gestures that set a restaurant apart, and we appreciated the effort made to start our dining experience on a positive note.

Now, let me take a moment to commend our waiter, Louis. His attentiveness and friendly demeanor added a personal touch to our meal. He was well-versed in the menu, making excellent recommendations and ensuring that our dining experience was smooth and enjoyable. Kudos to Louis for his exceptional service!

Now, let's delve into the culinary delights we savored. The Supreme burrito, as I mentioned earlier, was a true masterpiece. Packed to the brim with flavorful ingredients, it was a sight to behold. The generous portions made it clear that this restaurant believes in providing value for money. The combination of tender, well-seasoned meat, fresh vegetables, and a delectable sauce created a harmonious blend of flavors that left us craving for more.

The presentation of the dish was impeccable, even though we didn't get the traditional plate. Each element was artfully arranged, showcasing the attention to detail that went into the preparation of our meal. It's evident that the chefs take pride in their craft, and their dedication to delivering an authentic Mexican culinary experience shines through in every bite.

While we wished we could have lingered longer and tried more dishes from the extensive menu, our tight schedule required us to eat quickly and depart promptly. Despite the time constraints, the staff ensured that our meal was served promptly, allowing us to enjoy our food without any unnecessary delays.

In conclusion, our visit to this local Mexican restaurant was a delightful experience from start to finish. The warm ambiance, complimentary chips and salsa, and the exceptional service provided by Louis set the stage for a memorable meal. The Supreme burrito was a true highlight, a mouthwatering masterpiece that showcased the restaurant's commitment to delivering authentic Mexican cuisine.

If you're in the area and craving authentic Mexican food served with a side of hospitality, I wholeheartedly recommend giving this restaurant a try. Whether you have the luxury of a leisurely meal or need to grab a quick bite like we did, you're bound to be impressed by the flavors and service that await you here.

In the future, we'll definitely be making a return visit to savor more of the tantalizing dishes on their menu. Thank you to the entire team at this wonderful establishment for making our dining experience...

My family and myself had just arrived after being in the car for 5+ hours and we were starving. This place was close to where we were staying and the reviews seemed good so we went.

I would describe it as the quintessential American-Mexican food restaurant, which I believe is a must-have wherever you live, but the food really set this one apart from my expectations.

I got a chicken quesadilla (a classic go-to for myself), and let's be honest, I'm mostly there for the chips and salsa anyway. Which were spot-on and they toss-in a shareable serving of slaw which was a nice touch and really tasty. The quesadilla was ginormous, and what I like most about the quesadilla, other than the cheese, is that they are hard to mess up but also easy to make very plain-jane. This one was delicious! You could tell the chicken was marinated, the tortilla itself had a ton of flavor, and the combo of it all with the guac and sour cream make it a 4 star meal in my book.

My 4 year old son also got a cheese quesadilla and I wish I had a pic because it was huge as well and came with a side of rice and beans. Oh, and it was $5! My wife got a combo with a chili relleno and a mole enchilada, and like all the rest the flavor were just really really good.

The cherry on top was the service. All of the staff were very friendly. We were greeted when we arrived, thanked when we were leaving and they just seemed genuinely happy and friendly.

It was a nice welcome to Montrose and potentially saved the Earth from one hangry family on the road. Highly recommend, and will...

Was not a good experience. Had to wait forever for our food and then when it came out it came out one piece at a time. First the tortillas for two of the Mills. Then one kids meal, then the beans and rice for another meal. Then the beans and rice for the other meal. Then the next plate came out then a main course. It probably took them 30 minutes to get our entire order out to our table. One piece at a time. Then we had to ask three times for silverware. We spent $120 on food that we barely ate because most of it tasted horrible. I was the only one out of our group of six that ate very much of my food which was the carne asada. It tasted good but I have been sick ever since. I cannot guarantee this is where I got food poisoning but it was the only out of ordinary place that I have eaten in the last week. Would not recommend to anybody. And when we told the waitress that we weren't happy with the food, she laughed...

Loved it! Huge portions with fantastic presentation and impeccable taste! I ordered the tempiquena, everything about it was a hit - the rice and beans had a smooth savory taste. They were the perfect companions to the beautifully smoky skirt steak and perfectly cooked tangy shrimp. Service was fast and friendly. Two huge entrees, and a take out chips and salsa came to just under sixty bucks. Better than you'd do in Denver, and much tastier!

I bought a medium to go margarita tonight… charged almost 16 dollars. It had sooooooo much ice in it. I live a few minutes away and put it in a cup to see how much actual drink there is. .. and it’s definitely a small margarita. Pretty messed up they charge so much to put only put ice in it, and essentially give me a small margarita… which by the way was more margarita mix then tequila. Pretty disappointed
