This was absolutely my last experience at this Freddy's location. This is not an indictment of the employees at all. It isn't their fault, but Management's fault that there were only 2 employees in the building at noon on a weekday. Nor was it their fault they were out of cheese curds and french fries. Now here's the thing-The guy working the drive through told us they were out of curds, NBD. But he failed to mention that they were out of fries. Likely because they'd been told to serve the Kroger brand fries I watched an employee open the bag from the City market freezer section and dump in the fryer. Ok, fine, but then the cook time was not adjusted for the thicker, obviously not Freddy's franchise cut french fries. So they were soggy and gross and extra greasy. After waiting for them to take my order, it was 33 full minutes from the time of order to the time we got our food. As I mentioned, there were only 2 employees. One gal was running the fryer, building the burgers and serving the inside customers. One guy was cooking all the burgers and serving the drive through customers. These poor people were busting it out to provide service in a severely understaffed and unequipped kitchen. I couldn't even be mad at the mediocre service and the terrible food because I sat at the drive through window and watched the 2 of them work hard during a rush hour for 20 minutes and it was clearly not their fault. They were doing what they were told and working with what they had. This is an unmanaged location and Freddy's corporate should be embarrassed this place exists with their name on it. They'll never get another dollar from me and I advise all...
Read moreI went in to give the place another shot, and their was no one running the counter, it was 12:15 or so the employee stated I would have to wait, he was playing on his phone at a booth with his friend who seemed to just be hanging out with nothing better to do. After a couple minutes he got up and took my order, the place was totally DEAD at lunch time I saw three other customers, I got my order, which was okay though they barely put any sauce on it at all. I finished my meal and went into the bathroom to wash my hands and the bathroom was disgusting, the urinal was filled with some dark substance and only some remnants of a urinal cake that looked like it was maybe changed last year, the trash can was literally overflowing, the sink was very gross and looked like it hadn't been cleaned in a long time, and to top it all off the soap dispenser was totally empty. I will never go back, and of the several people I talked to about this experience not one had anything positive to say about Freddy's. The food was also like fourteen dollars for a burger and tater tots. Culvers up the road is about three dollars cheaper as is Crash Burger both are far superior options. One final thing, if you get your fries to go shoestring fries will be cold once you get home, what a ridiculous choice for a fast food place, shoestring fries are fine in a restaurant where you can eat them before they cool, but a fast food place should know better. (Edit Several people I talked to said there was too much salt but I noticed a severe lack of it, it's clearly amateur hour at this...
Read moreFreddy's is one of those places that you can work at and then years later STILL love eating there.
Two days ago was my last trip and there's a new manager as my old boss is now a regional boss lady!
Names I have a horrible time remembering but this time I went to get my ALL time favorite and it is a Double Patty, Double Bacon, No Onion, Grilled Onion, the two gentlemen responsible for this mastery were named Anthony and Earl. Their names should go into the history books for the best grill team combo ever. This steak burger should have been in Freddy's Custard commercials everywhere.
So hats off to the management, to the grill team and to the prep team as even the pickles were perfect. ABSOLUTELY WORTH THE TRIP, worth the time of sitting to enjoy it.
I think I just sold myself on going on a repeat after I get done hitting the send button on this to be honest. Now I'm craving Freddy's again. Sincerely Seamus Maguire
Adding on to this post. Just went back tonight (@2025. 06Feb2024)and the two gentlemen on night crew impressed just as much food wise. I did not get the name unfortunately. But after taking my order and noticing my cane and injured leg he offered to help carry my food out to my waiting ride. To me this is more than the Freddy's Way" this is the way that we should be to each other at every chance as humans. Thank you again everyone...
