First I would like to say the young lady (Lauren) that waited on our group was 5 stars all the way, hence the reason for 2 star rating. We called an hour ahead to make sure that Jimmers could handle us, we were told yes, be here at 7:30. Arriving on time we were instructed to sit outside in the parking lot and to arrange the picnic tables accordingly. No big deal all of us are understandable to the “sudden” arrival of 20 people. We sit once we arrange tables and wait 45 minutes to even have drink orders taken, an hour to start receiving drinks. Assuming the two individuals one male and one female are the owners came out several times checking on us empty handed and when asked to bring drinks this task was delegated to someone else. I strongly suggest the ownership or management help out with a 20 person table hoping we are going to order heavily and tip well. Instead Lauren working her butt off with little to no help continued to bring drinks and deal with the frustrations of the long wait. 2 hours into us sitting with few drinks and little attention orders were taken by Lauren. In the mean time I watched the place not to busy in comparison to other similar facilities have guests come and go to almost empty out before we were told that they only had 5 prime rib (A Saturday night only item) and others would have to substitute, no real empathy or offer to resolve just pick something else. 2 hours and 45 minutes food finally arrives, BBQ sauce, napkins, for one table only. When asked for they was delivered to table after most were done eating and had passed around the single bottle of sauce and napkin dispenser. I personally had the 3 meat sausage, ribs and brisket with potato salad and beans. Food itself I give 3 stars as I was very hungry and the asphalt at this point would have received 2 stars. However even with my big ones eating my little ones the ribs didn’t fall off the bone and were dry (sauce might have helped) Brisket was decent again very hungry. Sausage was Hilshirie farms for sure, the beans canned and tator salad was good but, I love even bad tator salad so don’t take my advice. Overall experience was some of the worst management/ ownership and customer service I’ve had in a restaurant ever. Lauren needs a raise and a management role as I truly believe she could run the place better than the other 2. If not get a different job Lauren, they didn’t appreciate our business and don’t think they appreciated your efforts and hard work. Never...
Read moreThe reviews for this place are stellar, so today must have been an “off” day for them. I’ve been to Jimmers 3 times since moving here recently. The first time we had a great server. She was friendly, up-beat, and on top of her work. The pulled pork sandwich was good, and the coleslaw was good; pretty basic, but totally fine.
The second time, we had a different server who was extremely slow and not afraid to share with us she was ready for her shift to be over. It was lunch time. It took a long time to get service and to get our food. The brisket was okay, not great. The potato salad and the beans were bland.
I popped in for lunch & a beer today, and asked if I could sit at the bar. The very unfriendly hostess said yes and told me she would be over with a menu. I sat there for about 5 minutes (the only one at the bar), lots of girls working there talking in front of me, nobody greeted me or offered me a drink. No one even looked at me. Eventually, the hostess came to seat 3 fellows at the bar, offered them menus and took drink orders for them. I made eye contact with her so she knew I was still waiting for a menu and she unapologetically brought me one in a rush, but didn’t take a drink order for me, like she did for the 3 guys. Even after bringing them their drinks, nothing. I waited about 10 minutes and just got up and left. I don’t know… maybe this was the “B” team. I would have been understanding and patient if the reason were simply that they were busy, but you can still touch based with a customer and let him/her know you’ll be right back. Takes 2 seconds. But the fact that they were tending to later arrivals right in front of me seemed a...
Read moreI really enjoy the food here and the staff is always friendly.
My complaints are the speed service and the intentional "slowness" on All You Can Eat nights. My family loves to go here and get "All You Can Eat" wings.... but it's not all you can eat when you get three or four at a time and it takes 15 minutes to get the next batch. It ends up taking an hour to get a dozen wings. They are super fast with the fries though. The reasons for this are obvious. Wings are expensive and fries are cheap, fill them up with fries and makes the wings take forever. Unfortunately, this back fires since we no longer go because it is too slow and we can't get enough wings. You can't make money if the customers stop coming in. I understand wings are expensive (I owned a pizza and wing restaurant for 10 years) but you make up for it with the price, not by what amounts to a "bait and switch". I'd rather pay you $25/person and get plates filled with 2, 3 dozen wings than pay you $16/person and get 9 wings each.
This wasn't a one time deal. We tried multiple times, giving them the benefit of the doubt that the first couple times were just unusually slow.
In any case, we still go here for dinner and lunch, as I said we enjoy the food and the people, but we don't go for "All You Can...
