I can't express enough how disappointed I was in this Mexican food experience, which happens to be my favorite type of food. I'm surprised by the many good reviews, and this place was referred to me by a local, too.
What shocked me was the intentional effort to make a small amount seem more.
The salsa was so watered down, that I had to put the whole bowl under my chin so that I would not spill everywhere. See the picture. I ordered the queso, and as you can see by the photo, it was the same situation. Again, I had to put the whole bowl under my mouth. Worse yet, the queso is most definitely NOT house made. It was either that cheap can of nacho sauce that you can get at Sam's or it was canned nacho cheese soup. Really terrible tasting. That cheese had never seen the side of a cow.
Then I ordered the "divorced" enchiladas. The plate was so large and looked extremely impressive. But again, the restaurant skimped and made it look large. There was barely 1/4 inch high of meat inside each one. Then too much sauce was used on top to make it look like a lot was on the plate.
I really felt duped.
(Sorry, I can't get the photos to attach. Photo option doesn't show upon reviewing. Then tried to edit the review and attach that way, but then it wouldn't let...

Read moreFirst time eating here tonight. The setting is authentic and clean. The staff are welcoming and friendly. Carmen was our waitress and was knowledgeable about the menu. They served something interesting with the chips and salsa...brand new and pleasing to our palates, was like a Mexican tapenade. I had the seafood chimichanga and my husband had beef chimichanga and a Chile relleno. The seafood chimichanga had alot of shrimp and small scallops with sauteed veggies and an amazing white sauce over the top, served with traditional beans and rice...and mild Cole slaw...was wonderful! The beef chimichanga had well seasoned ground beef and red sauce on top alacarte. The relleno sauce was my favorite part of their relleno alacarte, super delicious, we ordered it crispy but maybe should have gone with the soft option (think that is the traditional one). The cost of our meal was reasonable and worth it! This place is a...
