Rose Cottage — Restaurant in Montrose

Today was my first time to have tea at the Rose Cottage. I’m new to the Montrose area. The food was excellent and such a variety. It happens to be chocolate month ( how did I get so lucky? 😀) We had chocolate scones that were the best I’ve ever had and several other chocolate desserts after we had our little sandwiches. We had so much she gave us a box to take them home with us. The owner was a wealth of local info and knew so much about the history of the house. This was my second time visiting for the tea experience here. I highly recommend the drive to Montrose to sit and relax among period antiques in a gorgeous 1860's beautiful home. There is a monthly theme; this month it is chocolate. Every single thing I have ever tasted here from salad, to finger sandwiches, to decadent desserts have been spectacular.
