Friends of ours had seen their sign and wanted to check this place out, so we came out on a Sunday night. Much to our surprise the place was almost completely empty and staff outnumbered customers by at least a two to one ratio! This might explain why we had not even sat down and our server was already there with chips and salsa and wanting our drink order?

Then again, service was super quick throughout our visit. We spent a total of an hour in the place and this included us perusing the menu, ordering appetizers and entrees, eating, packing up leftovers, paying, and leaving!

In addition to being quick, our server was very nice and efficient. He stopped by multiple times to see if we needed anything or to get us more chips and salsa.

The food was decent. Nothing was particularly great, nor was any of it of poor quality. It was just OK. There were also no special dishes on the menu. This is pretty standard fare for this kind of restaurant. We tried the Pollo Loco and it was a bit on the dry side: The Pescado dish was good as the Mahi Mahi was covered in a really nice sauce. The Enchiladas del Mole were disappointing as the Mole's predominant flavor was sweetness and it was lukewarm. Considering how fast all the food came out after we placed our orders, most of these dishes must have been already prepared and just needed to be plated. As a matter of fact, our appetizer came only about one minute before the main dishes which created a space problem on the table.

Portions are very ample and prices are not expensive as we spent around $35 per person and that included drinks.

Would we come here again? Probably not as we can get similar food at places much nearer to where we live, but this is not a bad place -- just...

When I discovered ants crawling on my soft taco shell, I was disgusted. I called over the server who saw them moving as well. I ordered a 3 taco entrée, had eaten 1, taken a bite of the second, set it down and was going to pick it up again to eat more when I saw the bugs. At that point I didn't want any more food and my granddaughter who was with me was also repulsed. We had ordered extra rice and beans along with a large order of nachos planning to take some home with us. The server told the manager and he had her take my 3 tacos off the bill and charged for the rest that we didn't want to finish nor take home at that point. He then came to our table and said that 1. he only saw 1 bug and it was a fruit fly not an ant, 2. we ate 95% of our food, which is blatantly untrue, and 3 that we owed for the rest of the meal. Whether he saw all the bugs I did, whether his identification of them was correct and mine wrong, even 1 bug on my food is too much for me. I feel that I should not have been argued with, should have not been expected to pay at all and he should have apologized, which he never did. I will never return, am contacting my credit card company to reverse the charge, I didn't want to make a scene with my 10 yr old granddaughter so when he refused to remove the charge I paid it and told him we would not come back and he said "ok, I removed the tacos so you owe for the rest". I would not advise going there if you want to know your food is bug-free and you want any level of...

I will get to it. I was hungry and I like to eat out on a Friday night. Casa Amigos Tequila Bar is a good choice Let's start with the food. I ordered a fajita quesadilla which was more than generous. Got the mixed chicken and beef. nice option for a mixture along with the peppers and onion yummy. I asked for a take out box allowing for left over half the next day for lunch. Service was good and attentive. The server came back several times bringing drink fill up. chips and tasty salsa served while we checked out the menu. Not noisy, Plenty of parking, room was full but didn't feel cramped. We could carry on a conversation at our table. That seems to be getting more difficult. The bar is separate so that noise was separate, but you could order a drink. There was a family there for dinner with one small child who was having a lot of fun with parents and grandparents. Not out of control but "making the rounds of her own table visiting all her own relatives. It was fun to watch how she chose to sit with a person and then moved on. Not sure if she had anything to eat!. The restaurant has a bit of a club feel. The exterior wall is glass with the outside shrubs/trees lit with spotlights. Made for a pleasant view. Give it a try you won't be disappointed. It isn't a chain,. Quick service and good food made for a...

Quite disappointed with the experience. I think this place is trying to position themselves as a bit more of an upscale Mexican restaurant, but the food quality isn’t there at all. I ordered a very simple meal and left unsatisfied. I tried their Casa Quesadilla with chicken and a tres leches cake. Since this quesadilla was one of their house specials, I was pretty excited to give it a shot. But, it really wasn’t good. There was very little cheese in the quesadilla and the chicken was both fatty and tasted like it had been cooked from a frozen grocery store pack. Super dry and virtually no flavor. The quesadilla came with a good portion of rice. The rice was okay but nothing special. Also quite dried out and the vegetables seemed to come from a can. Not much flavor here either. Finally, the tres leches. The tres leches was actually quite tasty and the only item I had that wasn’t dry. Nice amount of whipped cream and soaked well. However, I’m nit even sure if they make these in house. They didn’t remove the paper covering surrounding the cake when they put it in the takeout bag (so maybe they just got it from elsewhere). All in all, disappointed. Dry food and way too overpriced, even if portions are pretty solid. Not fresh. Rubbery chicken. Wouldn’t come back.

To start this review off the venue is at the base of a hotel. The restaurant is also located in Pittsburgh, PA. So I should not have been suprised at the taste of the food. I thought the chips tasted a bit stale and the salsa bland. I ordered the ground beef hard shell taco lunch special and the tortilla soup. The ground beef tasted as if it were seasoned by Mrs. Dashes season package directly from the grocery store. The seasoning was extremely salty and took away from the design of the taco. The rice was bland and the beans were as well. The vegetables did not look fresh overall the meal was not good. I would not recommend for food, but the bar looked great and so did the margheritas. I would go here to have drinks.
