I came back to edit my review because of how awful my experience was today. The first time we went there the food was great and the service (by Giovanni) was spectacular. The food in my pictures were from the first time we went. Today we were unfortunately served by Edgar and had the complete opposite experience. We went back on Monday afternoon for a quick lunch. At first we weren't given the lunch menus which wasn't a big deal because when we asked for them (although we had to ask twice) we eventually got them. We then asked if the Margarita special ($3.25 each) applied during lunch. We were told yes and so in response we ordered two. When we got them we noticed they seemed a bit bigger but figured each server probably prepares them differently (we don't work there and had just asked about the special so it seemed normal). When we got our bill we were charged $18 for the two drinks! When we asked Edgar about the price he immediately got very defensive and said well you didn't ask for the special margaritas so I gave you the regular ones. It was obvious he was prepared for this conversation as he probably has used this trick before. He would not budge and continued to insist that because I drank mine (my wife only finished about a third of hers) we had to pay. It took a very long time to get him to finally correct the bill, and he did so in a very unprofessional way. He slammed the menus he was carrying down on the table near the check printing kiosk and was shaking his head and muttering to himself while correcting the bill. When he gave it back to us he said, next time tell me you want the specials, as if we hadn't asked if they applied during lunch just before ordering two.

The food here is decent so they really don't need to use these tactics to squeeze more money out of their patrons. As a business owner I've learned that you will have more long term success if you keep customers coming back, rather than screwing them out of a bit more money once, and never have them return. Unfortunately in our case, we nor anyone in our families will return here. That is 7 households that will not frequent this restaurant because of edgars tactics. There are many good Mexican restaurants in the area so its not a loss to us (and most likely not a major loss to the restaurant). Its just a matter of decent customer service and communication. The "misunderstanding" on Edgars part wasn't the main issue, but rather how he handled it afterward that was awful. Although most of the servers including Edgar don't speak English, this wasn't the issue as my wife is Hispanic and speaks Spanish fluently.

If you do end up going here please be sure to check the bill. Also going during lunch isn't worth it, as the quality of the food served during dinner is significantly better. I got the fajitas and the chicken was dry and not very hot. Sadly the tactics here are less than honest and if you happen to be served by Edgar don't expect good service. Im not sure if this is something management makes the servers do or if it was Edgars way of making the bill larger therefore netting himself a bigger tip... ...

Horrible food! Horrible experience! And even worse service! Save your money people del surr is just down the road. Couldn’t get the waiters attention and by the time my food had gone cold the female waiter returned. I let her know it didn’t look correct and honestly it was cold at this point so, I didn’t want it anymore and just wanted it taken off my bill. This is where the story gets interesting. The shorter aging heavy set manager try’s to find out what the problem was, not wanting to badmouth the waiter I just informed the manager that I didn’t want the dish anymore and would like it taken off my bill. After several more minutes of interrogation asking me I finally caved and said there wasn’t enough cheese on the dish. This wasn’t good enough for him. I asked please can I just have the food I didn’t eat taken off the bill. He comes back with the bill 50% off. I didn’t want to get a special deal just wanted the food taken off the bill. Apparently this was a huge problem because When I brought this to his attention of the manager he quickly snatched the bill from my hand and said “you know what buddy it’s no charge” then as I left he said. “Next time if you are going to be like this don’t come back”in a very hushed and threatening way. This Absolute bizarre and unprofessional behavior from management made me feel extremely uncomfortable. I genuinely hope he’s nicer to other clients. Like I said del surr is just Down the road and at least they are...

⭐️⭐️⭐️🫤 We’ve eaten here a few times within the last year, and each has been enjoyable and pleasant with good service. The food is always good and it is kid friendly.

Tonight we had a different experience unfortunately that probably we will not be coming back. We decided to go out for dinner and have a few margaritas and between my husband and I, we had 4 regular tropical ones, each being listed as $5.75. When the bill came, the drinks were listed as $7.XX each, for a total of $32, when it should had been only $23. My husband noticed and asked to see the menu to clarify to see if this was the correct pricing. Our waitress got the manager over and they fixed the price to one that was listed on the menu. They said they updated their pricing on their systems but no where did we see an updated list reflecting these changes. We left wondering how many people missed this and if we ever missed this in the past. I understand the need to update prices, but this should be reflected to the customers upfront. Even if this was listed on the wall, I think we would had been content with that, however it wasn’t. I’m glad they fixed the difference in the bill and rectified the issue. While we enjoyed coming here in the past, this time it was a negative experience for us. If you do go, please make note of...

No. I LOVE Mexican restaurants but this is not it! The cheese dip was sweet not spicy. The beef was under seasoned. I got nachos, they were soggy not because of the cheese (it was barely any of that) but the juice from the beef and chicken. The only thing that was good was the kids meal. Maybe we came in on the wrong day but I’m not willing to try again.
