I was told about this butchery by a girlfriend of mine who lives in Davidson. I drove the 35 minutes from Charlotte just to check out what it was all about, and I was thoroughly impressed. I walked in thinking I'd find some house-made chorizo and buy a filet, and ended up talking with one of the butchers for almost 45 minutes. Being that I'm a chef, I of course, nerded out about the range of products they had. Not to mention, they carry certified A5 Japanese wagyu- which, if one is not aware, comes with a birth certificate of the cow it was cut from. Very cool. Read moreWent to the store in person and ordered a 5 Bone Prime Rib Roast @ $38/Lb on 12/22, was told it'd be ready for pick up the next day, and I told them it'd probably be Friday and the gentleman said no problem. I ordered it trimmed, tied & seasoned so it'd be ready for Christmas Dinner. Called today to prepay and have someone pick it up for me today around 11am. No one including the manager could find my order, she then said to give her a few minutes and she'd get a new one ready for pickup ASAP. ( All the while my pickup person is waiting outside to find out from me if I've paid and if it was ready). Currently I've still not heard from anyone.... no call back... no nothing and it's 1:30pm Christmas Eve. Thanks Allot...

Sam chooses his meats and seafoods like you would expect from a local quality butcher. I've bought from him a few times over the past month including some nice thick pork chops made into a chop with a red pepper chutney, some ribeyes, and he has some special source for exotic sausages like bison and elk and your standard fare. Nice guy, I wish him success in his new business. Oh yeah, good beer there....especially the local mooresville...
