Do you fancy decent service? Do you enjoy short call times? Are you a person who enjoys being treated like a valued customer?
No?! Well look no further! You've found the pizza shop to fit all of your poor customer-service desires!
I have been on hold for 14 minutes. My wife called, from another phone, and got transferred through from the call center. She got a hold of the Pizza Hut before I did. She only had to wait 3 minutes.
An hour prior to this when I first called and spoke to the store I explained my situation to an employee. She told me to wait without explaining why. About 45 seconds later a man answered the phone with, "Hello?" "Uh, hello?" I replied. "Yes?" He asked.
I was so confused with what was happening, and appalled by the lack of decency in his tone, that I told him I would have to start over and explain to him my situation. If that person was the manager he really needs to learn communication ettiquet.
I made a decision 2 years ago to never order from this Pizza Hut ever again, because of poor customer service that ended in me not getting my pizza. But I figured that because it had been so long I would give it another chance. BOY, WAS I EVER SO, SO, SO, SO WRONG!
Honestly, I know people are just trying to make a living. But, as a manager and owner you need to put your best and most charismatic people on your front line. If you don't have people like that... then well, you're going to get people like me who are willing to write +4 paragraphs about how EXTREMELY terrible your customer service is.
Now, I'm an advocate for never typing words in all caps, but this experience has been so utterly disturbing to me that it has made me recant my advocacy. Service in most places in American has drastically declined, but this is by far the worst it has been for me. Please order from another food store. If you knew me as a personal friend I would quite literally PAY YOU to not order from here. If you don't know me, well, look at all of my other reviews. None are less than 3 stars.
This is my first 1 star review, because I believe in karma coming back to bite me. BUT I would gladly take karma head on to save my fellow consumer from a gutwrenchingly terrible experience.
tl;dr - Customer service is an absolute terror to deal with. I will pay you to not...
Read moreSo I get to speak with the regional manager because of this place. This isn't the first time pizza has taken forever and I'm sure it won't be the last time. I live .4 miles away. Literally a block and a half 2 blocks max. Ordered pizza at 3:17pm online. I got the notification at 3:35 that it was out for deliver. At 4:25 I called the store. They called the driver and said she was on her way. Now let me just say, I know they make multiple deliveries in one run. Don't get me wrong. My sister worked for them as a delivery driver like 15 years ago. I get it. So anyways, the girl offers to get the manager. She comes back on the phone and I hear some less than 20 year old male saying all we can do is give her credit. I tell her I don't want credits I don't want free food I want there to be a fix in the flaw. He repeats it TO HER. I ask her to give him the phone. He doesn't say hi or anything just repeats "Like, the only thing we can do is give you credit." I repeat that's not what I want and ask if he is really the manager he pauses and with obvious attitude of I'm about to lie, says he is. I said as a manager that's not an acceptable answer you are supposed to fix the problem on your end you are a manager. That's your job. He says all he can do id give me credit. I said OMG how old are you?? He says with complete disrespect and why does that matter?? I said because you sound like a teenager. He said well that's rude! Okay fair enough. Let my temper get away from me. So I say, okay what's your name? He hangs up on me. Cool no problem. I have called corporate, waived the offer of free pizzas and the district manager will be calling me directly tomorrow. Oh and my pizza finally arrived at 4:45. She forgot my receipt. Which the pizza was delivered while I was on the phone to corporate...sooooo. Yeahhh. And no, I did not tip. The delivery and service fees are over five dollars and it took her an hour and almost a half to get to me. No tip. I am hoping they turn this around. This is ridiculous and I hate to say it but I hope that kid claiming to be a manager gets fired...
Read moreEDIT 1 (FINAL edit, October 18, 2023): I terminated patronage roughly 2-3 months ago (either August or September), since the parent company, "Yum Brands", has no concept of caring for the customer, anymore, only profitability, for its shareholders - typical of "Corporotocracy". 😒 I deleted the Pizza Hut app, as well. Kept having problems with them not accepting c/cards that were already established, and being used. This final time the app didn't recognize either my debit card, or the c/card, that were both in the system. That was my final straw. I will not be back. Kind of a shame since Mark, the upwardly-moving manager of the store, was doing his best to make sure my service, was impeccable.
(Original, multiply-edited, post): This store, seems to be going downhill....fast. My food in the past few months has not been acceptable, barely tolerable.
Pizzas ordered have often been just slightly warm, and, although made well, and tasty, the staff don't take the time to ensure that the slices are cut completely. I've had several pizzas where I've had to cut my own pizza slices. Almost like the staff there really don't care about the job.
Then there's the pasta. The tins are only half-full, and, again, while the food, when prepared properly, is tasty, on occasion it's "runny" (undercooked?), yet much of the time it seems like it's cooked too high a temperature, because the shells on the outer edges are hard, cooked too much, stuck to the sides of the tin, and unedible. The pasta towards the middle, is much better.
I'm getting very close to ceasing patronage at this store; maybe Pizza Hut, in general. And I'm in there, at least once a week, sometimes twice. It's sad that the "hired help", is so hard to find, at least those who care anymore,...
