We were in town for a funeral and decided to take suggestions from friends for dinner. We wanted to keep business in town because it is obvious they needed it so soon after a hurricane. This restaurant was was highly recommended. We had a large group (group of 8). Apparently, there was a misunderstanding about the meal we ordered for our 9 year old. We were charged for an adult meal, when we ordered off of the childās menu. . When questioned about the bill, she became very defensive and corrected us telling us āNo, you told meā¦ā. Again, weāre from out of town and are not familiar with the menu. She proceeded to argue in a very unprofessional way. She argued that she had a long day, and sheās tired, but when we were seated she told us she was hoarse because she went to the Jellyroll concert the night before. We drove 4 hours for a funeral and have no sympathy for her. She proceeded to snatch the check out of my husbandās hand and told us āfine, Iāll just take it off of the bill if itās that big of a dealā. As she walked away, she said under her breath that her 6 year old can eat an adult meal. She came back, and slammed the check back down on the table in front of my husband. He asked her if it was a communication error (which she said herself), why is he paying for a meal he didnāt order and then she gets an attitude with him. She started grabbing plates off of the table, which we werenāt finished with and almost hit my face with the plate. She finished clearing plates off our table without even asking if we were finished and told us to have a āblessedā night. She started clearing the table behind us letting us know that she was mad as she slammed each chair on the table. As we walked out to leave, she gave us the biggest, most sarcastic āhave a blessed nightā Iāve ever seen. Itās a shame because the food really was great. The service was not. We had a table full of kids with us to witness the whole situation. She chose to argue over $14 instead of receiving 20% in an 8 top. I guess it was more of a pride thing than anything else. Iāve worked in sales before, and I would absolutely expect to be fired if I acted in that manner. She even complained about the Entergy men being in there buying all the beer and being so loud. This business is EXACTLY what this little town needs! I understand now why locals drive to Houma to eat. If this is the kind of service that I received in town, you best bet I would take my business elsewhere. I wanted to call the manager to complain, but apparently the waitress is the manager. So, I will be calling the owner on Monday. We visit family frequently, and Iām sad to say we wonāt be...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreGod forbid you ask for sauces...seems to be extremely hard for Sabrina (the manager) to make that calculation into your bill. Literally called me and yelled at me just to hangup on me. She did this 3 times..said sge was no dog and that she doesnt take crap from no man! I paid door dash twice to send me those sauces...I said nothing ill willed in the unstuctions. Just a comment stating I had ordered these previously and they were forgotten. Mind you I had spent over 40$ for a chicken hibachi, ice cream and calamari. No biggie...just wanted the sauces, none came at all...nothing. She calls me to tell me how many sauces are alloted per order and I cut her off because I already know..I just wanted her to know that I'm aware it costs extra..every time I do this I get an email stating the price has been adjusted and it's never been a problem. Over a year I've ordered the exact same thing usually twice a month from them...never a problem until Sabrina (the manager) flips out on me...it was almost comical!! She was yelling top of her lungs..bad day for her I guess. .it ended up costing me an extra 16$ just to have 6 sauce containers sent to me..thanks Sabrina, phenomenal service..I didn't call you or complain to begin with. You called me and did all this...over 6 sauce containers!!! I will never order from this place again...the disrespect she showed me and attitude was disgusting! That woman is unhinged! She was talking in a baby voice acting crazy saying weird stuff like, "you want me to cry like a little baby!"? I'm not one to leave reviews, and I actually felt bad at first until I sat back and thought about all this...she should not be in a leadership position at that restaurant. I will never forget this interaction...I literally paid for food, got criticized, then hung up...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreCame In for lunch, ordered the 3 for $12.99 sushi roll deal. The bill came, and they tried to charge me $20 for it. I asked why it wasnāt $12.99, they said theyād fix it and I gave them my card. When the receipt came back, I didnāt have my itemized receipt. I asked for it, and they discounted it down to $15. I asked them why it was $12.99 and they said it was because of tax, when I told them I added up the pre-tax amount & what she said didnāt make sense, she got upset saying that she didnāt put the order in until after 2:30. Which is either not true, or they purposely waited to put the order in late to avoid the deal. I even said ādont worry about the extra $2-3, Iām not hurting for itā but I wanted to voice my frustration about it telling the server and Iām assuming manager on duty that the itemized receipt should have been brought to me especially after an error, before I even got the words out of my mouth, the manager slapped $2 on the counter aggressively to give me āout of her tip moneyā. I wanted to treat myself to some good food and service by going here as I never go out. I waited tables for 4 years, Iāve never seen someone or had someone act so unprofessionally due to an error on the restaurants end. The poor server just looked upset. Oh, and I did tip over 20%. You need to speak with your employees because honestly Iām hard pressed to even come back after the way I was treated after I told them I donāt even need a refund I just wanted to let them know why I...
