The Nook Tavern — Restaurant in Morganton

Such a cool spot to grab a beer. I love the self serve taps, it makes for a relaxing evening. Awesome idea to combine a homebrew shop/tavern. They have everything in stock you need to start brewing. The owner is very informative if you have questions about anything. I was excited to see they are now offering brewing classes for free, check out there Facebook page for some more specific info such as dates and knowledge levels. One of my preferred places to go. Great place for conversation, a boardgame (one from home, or off the shelf. Chess is a local favorite), or some pool/darts. Self serve taps are really cool, and the selection is in constant rotation. The setup allows for tasting, and if nothing is to your fancy, ask the barkeep. There are some cans available. This is the coolest little find. Some friends and I were on a day trip and found this place. It was early in the day so we were the only ones in there. The bartender was very nice and informative.
