Morganton Skatepark — Attraction in Morganton

It was awesome my son had a blast. Myself on the other hand will be scheduling an appointment for some x-rays on my hip sometime over the course of the next few days (tomorrow). I survived 39 years I've gone through some major ordeals but I've made it through because I've never step foot on a skateboard I've always stuck to the BMX bikes and now I'm being reminded why I always had that rule. It's because apparently I was a lot smarter when I was younger I'm doing it in reverse I'm getting dumber as I get older. I blame it on the severe irreversible long-term brain damage I have accumulated over the years thinking that I was invincible. Only to be left with painful reminders that I'm just a mere man trying to do what only superheroes can. The skatepark itself is awesome though it's a good setup it's really well laid out I hear Tony hawk himself comes by every Friday and skates there. My 14 year old daughter took her roller skates over there, and there was a decent amount of skateboarders there of different ages and skill level, as well as a young girl riding her scooter. Everyone seemed to share the space, and get along! The park is clean and well maintained. There appears to be a bathroom facility right there, however we didn't use it, so I'm unsure if it stays unlocked, or whether or is well stocked and clean! Odd layout, ramp dimensions are really weird, A frame is crazy steep. No flat ledge, no flat rail, not really any flat ground area to warm up in. Transitions are tight, euro gap is massive and hard to get speed for.
