Toasted and Rolled — Restaurant in Morganton

This place was sooo good! I got the toasted coconut and my husband got strawberry cheesecake and both were delicious! The reason for the 4 star is the wait was ridiculous! I waited 30 min for my ice cream and my husband had to wait almost 45 min for his! (This was on Friday at around 330pm on New Years Eve maybe that was the problem) They accidentally threw our ticket away before making his BUT we had already told them once that he hadn’t received it and after a second time asking where the ice cream was they finally made it. Also it wasn’t much ice cream at all for over $15 for two. I can say although the employees were all young they weren’t rude at all. They did apologize for the wait. Overall I totally recommend this place! It was delicious if only they could work on a better system...

I have been here twice. Both times have been absolutely delicious. They have a Volkswagen bus side with a elevated walkway area so you can see the ice cream being made and rolled. Currently they only have certain "specialty ice creams" and are working on "create your own". I got pastries for the first time and they look and smell wonderful. They had a small seating area for kids and then another area for adults. My kids love sitting in the the kiddie area. Bathroom is clean and nice as well as the interior of the store. My husband, father-in-law and I had the extraordinary pleasure of dropping in at Toasted and Rolled. We each got three different Over-The-Top Shakes. I had a Cookie Monster Shake. My husband had the Brownie Shake. The Birthday Cake Shake belonged to my father-in-law. There are not enough words in the dictionary to describe how absolutely fantastic these shakes were. The flavors were perfect, the cake was moist, the cookie was soft and the brownie was thick and scrumptious. The attention to detail was phenomenal and everyone was so kind.
