Mario's Fishbowl Richwood — Restaurant in Morgantown

We had been walking around town with our Frenchie and decided to stop for a bite to eat. At the door, I asked, "is this place dog friendly" before bringing him in. The staff at the door assured us he could come in as long as I carried him to the patio. I leashed him at our table in the far corner away from all others and he lied under the table the whole time. Our server took our drink orders, acknowledged our dog, and then took 25 minutes to get a beer. Two tables of WVU students sat at the surrounding tables were in an altercation threatening each other, yelling across the patio and other things. During the altercation, a new server came to us, saw my dog, and then told us we need to leave. 1st, we had just received received our drinks after waiting 25 minutes. 2nd, we were told we were to leave before we even started our drink all the while we were originally told it was okay for my dog to come in. My family and I would have gone somewhere else if we had been told at the door that dogs weren't allowed. The server claimed to be the manager and threatened to call the cops because we said we would just leave and didn't want to pay before we even had a sip of our drinks. (After all, we were told he was allowed in at the door.) The manager then showed up after talking the server down, and was extremely rude. She never once apologized for the server threatening us with litigation nor was a word said to the students fighting at the table next to us. $45 dollars for a round of drinks just to be kicked out. Never again will I ever come to this restaurant and I am telling all of my friends, family and coworkers to about the bad experience and rude staff. If I could give them a 0 out of 5 I would and the owners should seriously consider re-evaluating their staff. First let me state that I go to the location on university ave. and cannot speak about the other location but would assume its not much different. Well if you can't already tell by the reviews, this place has gone to hell in a handbag over these last few months. Food quality is garbage now. This blonde bartender is extremely rude and took 45 minutes to make my drink. All the while while I am waiting for my drink a woman next to me had been waiting 40 minutes for A CUP OF COFFEE. Seriously? I was blown away I had been coming here for years. Also all the waitress and cooks look so depressed and bummed to be there. Not hard to understand when I have seen this new blonde manager there berating employees right in front of customers. I however was not surprised to see how she treated employees either because I have also been there multiple times and seen the male owner treat his employees worse than I have seen some animals treated. Beware of this place and the reputation it used to have because everything this place once was is now a thing of the past and I would advise everyone to avoid this place...

have always loved the wings, but about a month ago got 75 wings to go and they were so overcooked the meat was rock hard we could not even eat them, thought maybe they were just too busy and didn't pay attention to cooking time. Last week a friend went there for wings and told me he couldn't believe how the quality of the food had declined, and said he wouldn't go back.
