I’ve been shopping at Hoot and Howl for many years. The store hosts many different artists from all over the state. Everything is neatly arranged and always has something new to offer. I know that I never leave empty handed;

The owner is such a wonderful person who has created an amazing community through her shop. She has given me and my sister the opportunity to be apart of her Second Saturday Art Markets and supported our artistic endeavors. Through these art markets, I have met several other artists and makers and made personal connections.

Hoot and Howl also hosts a variety of events throughout the year that really helps bring community members together, which I find to be really special. The store genuinely feels welcoming to all who enter.

Hoot and Howl has grown so much over the last few years and is not just a small business in my mind. I believe that it is truly home to a community of artists and makers.

Absolute favorite “gift shop” in WV, but it is truly so much more than that. The store is home to tons of locally curated items. Stephanie always has the best local, small business vendors!

Stephanie continually works to better her businesses and community. She hosts a variety of local artists for periods of time in her shop, as well as Second Saturday Art Markets for other artists and business owners to come out, showcase and sell their items.

Before adding onto her store with a plant shop (Euphorbia by Hoot and Howl) she created an online group for Morgantown plant lovers called the Morgantown Plant Society. She has hosted several Meet-ups and plant swaps at her shop and around the city.

She also always has the cutest hand painted window displays for a cute photo op!

Hoot and Howl is a gem of a small business, located in the heart of downtown Morgantown. At Hoot and Howl you can find the most unique and beautiful gifts for your loved ones (or yourself!) all handmade by local Appalachian artists. The displays are all neat and clearly organized, and you can tell the owner puts a lot of thought into the way everything is set up. Every month they have a beautiful new artistic window display that is one of our fave things to drive by!! Hoot and Howl recently expanded their business into an awesome plant store connected called Euphorbia, with so many gorgeous and rare plants to choose from.
