A little disappointed with the front of desk staff. It's fine if you are booked but to be rude about it when guests are inquiring about a table is not a good look for customer service. The couple of times I've eaten here it's been great but I can't let poor customer service go unchallenged in a review. The front of house staff was extremely condescending and rude when we were told they were reservation only and booked up for the day. After we left we saw that we could have set an online reservation for 245pm which was 1 hour after our visit. We would have gladly have shopped at the stores while waiting for a table if the front of house took even a second to provide customer service.
We decided to not book the reservation due to the confrontation and eat at another local restaurant. Very disheartening especially because I had my mother-in-law and sister in-law visiting from out of town who are very kind people. They were completely taken aback by the out of nowhere hostility. Very...
Read moreThe Tea Shoppe is one of my absolute favorite places to go, relax, and have a nice meal on the weekend. They have a variety of teas in all different styles: white, green, oolong, black, herbal, and even pu-erh. Every tea I've tried here has been fantastic, and I appreciate such diversity in styles. A pot is easily split between two people so you can try out plenty of varieties.
The food is always great. Their salads have honestly some of the freshest ingredients I've seen eating out: the mixed greens don't even have so much as a smidge of pink-red around the edges and the onions are vibrant and crunchy. I also appreciate the large number of vegetarian options. The scones are inexpensive and served with cream and lemon curd, and they have many great varieties.
We've had some hit or miss with service, but it's mostly been pretty good.
You can also pick up tea or any necessary tea essentials at the front of the shop, and they have a great...
Read moreI attended a baby shower yesterday at this location. I attended with my children- ages 4,2,2,1. When I walked in, before I even sat my things down, a lady who worked approached. She spoke to my sister in law who was in charge of the party. In a very rude tone said “the children weren’t accounted for in the count so what are we feeding them”. Although I understand this may have caused issues- you don’t say those things in front of the mom juggling four kids, you pull them aside- unprofessional. We got settled and the staff kept scoffing at the kids. This place may have been nice if I had went alone but overall don’t book a party here if there will be any children there. It is not kid friendly and I wouldn’t have attended had I...
