This Thai food is so good it almost brings tears to my eyes! Of all the countries and cities I've lived in and visited, this is BY FAR my favorite Thai food (disclaimer: I have not been to actual Thailand). My favorite thing to do here is to order the pad see ew and have whoever I'm with order the pad thai, and then mix them both together.... savory and sweet! A couple words to the wise: - Don't plan on being in a hurry as things don't move super quickly here. It's well worth the wait, believe me, but don't expect to rush it. - Bring cash for a small cash discount - I know the amount of spiciness a person can handle is relative, but I like to think I can handle some heat. However, just know that they honor the number of peppers you order and are consistent about it. If you are used to ordering 4/4 peppers at another Thai joint and it's not that spicy for you, just know that at this place, 4/4 will render your food inedible. 2/4, for me, is a really nice spice, and 2.5/4 is all the higher I'll go when I'm trying to sweat out a cold and it's on the edge of uncomfortable. - The serving staff ARE AMAZING! They are the sweetest women on planet earth... Always smiling and willing to do whatever it takes to make your meal enjoyable. I wish we were friends :) Update: Still the best Thai I’ve ever had. Attached are photos of the awesome fruit infused water and Pad Thai/Pad See Ew. Update: I typically don't have a chance to take a picture of the fresh thai spring rolls before they disappear, but I tried really hard this time. That peanut dipping sauce? OOOOO MAMA! I wish it came out with a straw. Finally was able to get you some pictures of them! Ssoooo good.

This place is the bomb. THE BOMB. Everything is so flavourful, all the way down to the water. So let's start there-the water. Yum. It comes with lots of ice, orange, apple, lemon, and lime slices. Refreshing and different. I started the meal with the cheese rangoon and man, they were great. Crispy without being oily or burnt and stuffed with a mixture of cream cheese and veggies served with a deliciously different sweet and sour kind of sauce. Think chili sauce meets pineapple salsa. Sounds kind of crazy but trust me, that stuff is good. We also had the rice soup which came with the lunch order we placed. It had a kind of fishy taste from salmon, but the rice was cooked perfectly and the veggies were still crisp. I had the ginger wonton soup and it was really delicious if you like ginger. It had a strong ginger flavour without being too overwhelming (unless you got too many strips in one bite... Whew.) and even though the veggies were huge and could have used a bit of dicing for my preference, the wontons were perfect and not chewy and the stuffing was flavourful. My fiance has the mama drunken noodles (with a kick) and while it was a little too spicy for me, he said it was fantastic and better than Chaang Thai. The decor gives this awesome little coffeehouse feel and the music playing in the background puts you at ease. With such a large menu, I'm sure they have something for everyone and everyone should give this place a try.

Mar 19 2020 update: Since the pandemic started in March, they're only doing takeout. Update (Nov): I now see them on Uber eats, Grubhub, Doordash etc. but those apps all have delivery & other charges. So if cost is a concern, call to order, then drive there and pay in person at pickup! Amazing, freshly made thai food. Generous portions! Definitely worth checking out if passing through town and regularly if you live in town! Great tasting thai food with a wide variety of items to choose from. The restaurant has a cozy feel to it. However, sound levels can vary depending on the capacity. The place has parking both next to the restaurant and overflow parking across the street. However, be very very careful crossing this busy street as there is no marked sidewalk and cars traffic is reasonably busy on Univ avenue. If you park next to the restaurant door, there is an exit around the corner, but it is a tight turn, so be careful with large car/SUVs.

WARNING: DO NOT ORDER THIS OFF OF GRUBHUB UNLESS IF YOUR DRIVER IS COMPETENT

The food is out of this world. I had to call and ask a couple questions about the spice level of stuff, I can't handle spice well but still wanted to try food from this place. The guy was super friendly and happy to answer my questions.

But!!! The food is really fragile!! If you order a delivery from a third party like grubhub, you're gambling for smashed food. :(

When I got my order, it was like the driver just didn't care at all about how fragile it was. My soup was spilled and the sticky rice box was broken open and all over the place.

Most of the soup that spilled and a good portion of the sticky rice were salvageable and it's completely and totally not the restaurant's fault. In fact, their food is really good..!!! I was super angry about the whole experience and the condition my food arrived in but cleaning everything up and tasting it made me feel a lot better.

Thank you for making...
