Geo's Italian Kitchen — Restaurant in Morrilton

I went to Geo's with some friends and was disappointed by the experience. I ordered the chicken piccata, and the dish was not what I expected. The chicken was decent, but I think the mushrooms were canned, as the dish was very watery. Also, instead of the typical angel hair pasta, they gave me a kid's size side dish of penne noodles with marinara sauce that I had to mix with the chicken. Besides the noodles not being prepared in the usual fashion, the penne with marinara sauce did not taste homemade and looked like something I could have cooked myself. On top of that, some of the service could have been better, as one of the bussers took my napkin while I was still eating my tiramisu. I will say the tiramisu was pretty good, even though it was not homemade. Along with the bread, that was the best part of the meal for me. Since Geo's is a newer establishment, I'm going to assume they're still finding their footing. To their credit, our servers were attentive, but the food unfortunately did not meet...

We have been here twice now and both times, the food was amazing. People leaving 2 to 3 stars on here apparently do not know good food. We have been fortunate enough to have visited Italy and was able to try different dishes there and this place reminds us of the delicious foods we experienced. The calamari was delicious, not chewy like you get in other restaurants. The ricotta cheese is made fresh daily and if you ever had store bought, you'll know eating fresh doesn't compare. I had an incredible experience. My wife and I love Italian restaurants, so I was excited to see this one make it's way into our small town. We were very surprised at how much we loved the food. We ordered the eggplant parm, and the fettuccine carbonara. We could eat those again and again. The staff was exceptional, patient, and always attentive.
