We had supper here the other night. It was okay. It wasn't bad - I just wasn't overly impressed. They have a french fry seasoning salt to sprinkle on your fries. I was thinking it was like the flavored salt at Pal's, or maybe like Lawry's Seasoned Salt. Bummer - it wasn't! It was more of a hot seasoning salt, like chili powder or Cajun seasoning. The burgers we got were just okay. Not bad but nothing to write home about. Maybe I was just having an off day. Considering it was quite a bit more expensive than a meal at Micky D's or at BK, I was expecting a quite a bit better meal. I've heard good things, by word of mouth, about Freddy's, so I'll probably go back and give it another chance but my first impressions weren't great.
Update: May 22, 2019 After my 3-star review I was contacted by both a regional manager and then a national manager, who attempted to turn me into a satisfied customer. That level of effort is commendable on their part. They asked me to give them another chance so I took them up on it. I went on a Thursday night, just like my original visit. I went about an hour earlier than I went last time. But even so, it was basically the same time with the same amount of people at the restaurant.
The experience this time was like night and day compared to last time. They had a dedicated employee in the dining room, making sure things were cleaned up and stocked up. The drink station was much cleaner than it was last time. A clean dining room certainly makes a difference! There was even someone who went around asking customers if they needed help with anything. So from a customer service outlook they did a great job. I was impressed.
The food seemed to be better as well. I went with my wife and we both enjoyed our meal. She couldn't eat all of her original burger so she ended up taking half of it home. Neither of us could eat all of our french fries so we were both filled up when we got through. We both got some custard/ice cream for dessert. That alone made us want to go back. It was great. It was much better than the soft serve stuff you get at many fast food restaurants. Its no wonder why frozen custard is in the name!
My experience this time out was much different, in a positive way, than my first time out. Maybe I just caught them on a bad night. Whatever the case, it was a good dining experience and I won't have any problem going back again. But the most impressive thing to me was how they reached out to me because of a so-so rating. Read moreNot having had a chance to try out the Freddy's since it opened in Morristown, my wife and I decided to give it a shot on Friday 4-22-22. Immediately noticed it wasn't very busy to be a Friday afternoon which I thought was odd. As we approached the counter, we noticed the floor was sticky on our shoes. We went to the counter and the girl taking our order appearently had other things on her mind rather than work and the personality to match. We placed our order after having to ask too many times for the cashier to speak up loud enough to hear her.
Once we placed our order, we tracked over the even sticker part of the floor to get our drinks. There was a employee mopping a section of the floor and hadn't put out wet floor signs and I almost lost my footing (at least he was mopping).The drink machine and ice tea dispensers needed to be wiped off considerably. As we walked towards the multiple open tables towards the front, it then became a game of which one was the least dirty to sit at. Once we found one to sit down at, just looking around the general area, the general grime and filth was obvious. Again, it's not very busy in here. Taking into consideration that they may have had a large lunch crowd, no one was dealing with the filth other than the mop guy. The floors were filthy, a nearby booth had what looked to be some type of sticky/greasy substance on the side of the seat, the bottoms of the standing tables looked like they have never been cleaned, and the discarded fries and garbage on the floor next to the trash can spoke volumes about the cleanliness here.
The food wasn't bad. It was edible, but not impressive enough to compliment, thin burgers put together poorly and a bit too salty for my taste. The overall appearence, atmosphere, and filth will pretty much guarantee we won't visit again anytime soon. It's a shame, because it hasn't even been...
Read moreTonight me and my husband went through the drive thru. All is good the lady at the window was very rude. I counted my money out and then my husband recounted the change before handing it to the drive thru lady. She was very rude and just not friendly. She then handed us our change back and I gave correct change for the money. It was 13.58 I gave the lady 15.58 for our meal. She handed me back a 1.99 I told my husband that wasn’t correct bc I gave correct change I should get 2 dollars back. He then waited for a while for the lady to come back to then window. When she finally did we told her we had given her the correct 58 cents and she said oh I only counted 57 I must have dropped one. So I was waiting for her to give me the correct change and she apologized and then said have a good night and shut the window while we were still trying to have a conversation about the money. My husband then pulled off for us to go in so we did not hold the drive thru line up. I talked with lady at the front and she was very nice and got it straightened out. The girl at the window continued to be rude and make faces with her friend in the back. Saying she correctly counted the change even though she admitted to dropping the extra money at the window. I didn’t want to make a big scene about it because I tried to make it right and she just closed the door on us and didn’t make it right. We got our correct change fixed by the lady in the front. But we will not be back due to the drive thru girl being so rude and obnoxious towards us about OUR money and giving us the correct change.I don’t ever make big deals about this but the way we were treated is the main issue.
