Driving hours along Route 1 on New Years Day looking forward to visiting the place where I ordered the "Kind Burrito" during a previous trip a few years ago. Today this place was anything but kind to us. I walk in and ask about the seating situation. To my surprise the same person who took my order previously was also there today. How nice for a traveler to see a familiar face. I inform her "I remember you, you helped me order a vegetarian burrito when I came here a few years ago" - instead of being hospitable about the friendly comment I am greeted with a scowl. I am told there are tables available and sure enough there are. I say give me a second, I am going to let my girlfriend know that we will be dining in. I walk back in and after a few minutes and a large party is seated just moments before us. We get seated and minutes pass and the waitress has not even greeted us, yet the large party seated moments before us has not only received drinks and had their orders taken (by the same waitress, who was also walking around sniffling, coughing into her hand and seemed to have no intention of going to a sink. A few more minutes pass and the other table is already served with appetizers . . and yet still, we are not even asked if we want drinks. More minutes pass and I decide that it's time to go
Yeah, our party of two that consistently tips 20 percent and up as standard was set to order two plates, a side and a drink to go - sounds like an easy table
They did this to a traveler on a new year's. What will they do to you? Do you really want to risk your families dining experience with a place that would do this?
I get the impression that woman working here is a xenosogyphobic misandrist pig
To start, we were also told to “help ourselves” to chips while they filled the chip baskets for everyone else.
I couldn’t help but feel like due to some sort of prejudice that they made a point to ignore us. We were sat right in the middle with only 9 tables in one single open spaced room. Not all the tables were occupied. The waitress had to walk by us whenever she provided service to any of the tables.
Happy new year,
Thank you for...
Read moreBEST. TRES. LECHES. CAKE. EVER. Seriously, don't even think twice about ordering this. Yes, you have room for dessert. Yes, it's worth the calories. Yes, you'll want your own. Yes, you're going to crave this cake for the rest of your days. Its decadently sweet and super moist. SO. FREAKIN. GOOD.
Amazing complimentary chips & salsa bar. They have a salsa for everyone whether you like a lot of heat or just want to keep it mild.
Prices may seem high for a single taco, but the portion size is extremely generous. 1 taco is plenty for me!
Extremely fresh ingredients ( I love that every taco is basically a giant mountain of salad) and the seafood always tastes fresh.
The tacos aren't "authentic" per se, but they are it's own unique thing. They aren't traditional tacos. I mean, you can barely find the tortilla until you reach the end, but they are super good.
Service is friendly, fast, and helpful. If you have any questions about anything on our menu, the staff is very knowledgeable and can make great recommendations. I mean, you can't really go wrong with anything you order.
The restaurant itself isn't anything to really comment on. It's not very well decorated or aesthetically pleasing. Ambiance is pretty nonexistent, but let's be real, we're not here for the ambiance. We're here for the food. Overall, it's a very laid-back and casual eatery with an amazing menu.
They serve beer and wine here. No happy hour deals but the drink prices are very reasonable already
Located in the same lot as Spencer's Market so there is PLENTY of...

I got seated right away and the waitress took my order. It came out in what felt like 5 minutes or less...then the waitress dropped it at my table and I had to stop her because she already turned around and started to leave to ask for a drink. The food was okay, but not great especially for $17. It's pretty much just a salad on top of a couple soggy tortillas. The shrimp was salty and otherwise didn't have much flavor. Like I said not horrible, but not amazing. For a salad it's fine, but there wasn't anything special about it other than a big pile of shrimp. I love piles of shrimp, don't get me wrong, but it just felt like quantity over quality. The sangria was really good though. I really wanted to order another drink and a dessert, but the waitress never checked on me. Another waitress cleared my plate then my waitress brought the check without asking if I wanted anything else. It felt like they just wanted to get me out of there, so i left without getting to try the desserts I'd heard so much about. Bummer. So yeah not horrible but not that great especially for how expensive it is. You can get better seafood for less money...
