Avocado Shack — Local services in Morro Bay

Rude staff and inaccurate charging. We purchased cucumbers here and a lot of them! They were labeled pickling cucumbers (1.99lb) but the cashier rung us up for Persian cucumbers (3.99lb) when I asked him if they were Persian cucumber he insisted they were (even though they were labeled pickling). So I asked which ones are pickling cucumbers? To which he responded “I don’t know” (if you don’t know which are pickling cucumbers then how can u tell me the ones I’ve got and were labeled pickling cucumber aren’t them) anyways I just dropped it and paid. Well a quick google search made it real obvious my suspicions were correct we had just double paid for pickling cucumbers because he insisted they were Persian. (I’ve bought Persian cucumbers they just didn’t seem the same) When you’re buying a lot those dollars per lbs add up. I won’t be going back because the cashier was quite rude and they knowingly double charged us. Great customer service, pricing and excellence in quality of produce etc. These weekly adds give folks a heads up on deals for each day of the week so I can plan my budget ahead for cumulative saving allowing for weekend gatherings for larger quantities and compensate with basics for family routinely. It’s important for your smaller volume folks like me to have advertising like this without only reading the same from big box and more costly stores. The other retailers have exploded with rude impatient shoppers that congest aisles and check out points all day. Even historically early and late times for selecting produce are gone. Hopefully, you will NOT fall into the same pattern of your competitors by reducing the early morning business hours neighborhood folks like us need badly but have already lost because of worsening crowds. By opening later, we are forced to leave your store’s pleasant selection time only to have no other choice but shop elsewhere at busiest hours. I just stumbled into it walking my dog. It was so nicely lit up it invited me into see what it was. To my great surprise it was a local pot of gold site for sure!! The most natural colorful fruits & vegetables on the planet right here!! All to feed our bodies with the most nutritious goodness & love from hard working local farming families. The aroma from the fresh Tuberrose turned me into a chatty gal, but the 2 men working kept a close eye on me & were the most kind, helpful & knowledgeable.
