Decent food at a fair price. Good chef's salad. It's nice being able to get fresh fruit as one of your sides.
We had same experience as the Nichole Lawson family about a month ago. We have always been a regular customer for several years. We are always polite and courteous and good tippers. We've always been pleased with the servers and they been kind to us. The last time we were there, which was a few months ago, the mgr/cook (Jim?) was so rude to us that we have not returned. I know he has a rough job. My friend's meal was cold and he didn't want to send it back. He was not going to eat it but still pay for it. We talked him in to sending it back. Our waitress, she's the middle aged red haired lady, was so apologetic and told Jim that it was cold. He sent it back and it was no different. My friend said that it was no better and we were disrespected by Jim. Our waitress wanted to comp. his meal but he said no and that he won't be back. The waitress told Jim that we were regular customers and asked Jim to apologize or smooth things over and he refused and said that he did nothing wrong. He's never been friendly, but we weren't there to be friends with him as long as he did his job. We always had good service, fair prices and usually decent food. We live in Moultrie, we may return but no time soon. Jim needs to control his rudeness to certain customers. We understand that it's hard to find help to work like he does, but that's no excuse for the attitude. Thanks for the opportunity to review. PS: We never received a response from Huddle House...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreWish there was a way to leave no stars. Came to this restaurant on the way back to Atlanta looking for something good to eat. Have been passing this location for years driving back and forth to Tallahassee and always spoke of stopping at the Huddle house being that we always gas up at the Murphy's gas station next door to the restaurant. Well today we decided to make a desire a reality and what a mistake. Sat at our table for about 12-15 minutes and not one word from any servers or anyone in the restaurant. We were seated right by where servers have to pass us to get behind the counter to get the food order so they couldn't have missed us. I'm about 375 lbs. so I don't really blend into the background. All that was necessary was someone to say, "Hi, I'll be with you in a few minutes," and that would've sufficed. It's Sunday morning and I can see that there is a nice crowd in the restaurant. I know that I am a reasonable person but this blatant disregard is unacceptable. There was no way I was going to spend my money in this establishment if you cannot say "Hello" or "I'll be with you in a few minutes." No need to ever visit any other Huddle House after this first impression. I rarely complain about a restaurant but with mediocre service seemingly becoming a lost art and good service akin to a miracle,...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreDuring our visit, my spouses food was sloppily thrown on the plate. She ordered a meat lovers omelet and added jalapenos. The omelet was flat and laid over the top of her toppings. The bacon nor the sausage was cut up. When we brought it to the servers attention, she promptly went to the manager, who also cooks and attempted to get him to make it right. The manager starts getting loud with the server refusing to make it right. We immediately tell the server it is fine, we don't want her and him to cause an even bigger scene than what was already happening. The server ended up in the bathroom, I'm assuming in tears. That manager is rude, has no customer service knowledge and is just plain out NOT A NICE MAN!! We made sure the server was OK, put my wife's omelet together ourselves, ate our food and left. I hope the manager Jim (I believe was his name) is not there the next time we go to eat. We have been eating here once every 2 weeks and use to love the place. But unfortunately, we probably won't return because no server deserves to be talked...
