I previously posted a great review!!! Well over time that has changed. After my 1st review of how great everything was.....time went on! Every order after that was messed up. I would call, they'd credit it the mistakes. Well after continually getting every order wrong I stopped purchasing from them. Superbowl Sunday this year, I decided to give them another try(almost 2 years later.) Well...still didnt get the other right for two baked subs. I order online and I have my sub made slightly different than it comes. I am have always ordered the Chicken Florentine. When I place the order online they ask if u want additional toppings. I sometimes add some, yet ALWAYS ask for the garlic sauce on the side after the 1st time because it can overtake the rest of the flavor of the sub. This past time I ordered it that way, in addition to banana peppers. They have a specific part where u can type in your preferences. I did as I had in the past. Garlic sauce on the side as well as the banana peppers(because I did not want them cooked with the sub, I wanted to add them once I was eating it.) Well, you receive notifications when you order online. They keep u updated...received order...order being made...order out for delivery. Well this establishment is approximately 6 to 10min max from my home. Notification came it was out for delivery, driver arrived 25min later. Then I check our food. Of course once again it's wrong. Its was a minor mistake(the banana peppers were not on my sub or there whatsoever.) So, I call. The manager gets on the phone and explain the problem(btw you pay for the banana peppers.) He gets loud with me telling me he placed them in the bag himself. He was extremely rude and defensive about this. I said, had they been in there I wouldn't be calling you. Then he says, I'll have the driver bring them back out once he gets back. Really!!!! Soooo, that's a minimum of 40 to 50min for me to wait on banana peppers. I chuckled cuz that seemed like a ridiculous solution. He then said he'd credit me for next time-issue is there will NEVER be a next time because of how rude he was towards me. I'm in the food industry and I HATE writing bad reviews about places. So, when I do it's usually been after trying to resolve or address the issues/problems numerous ways beforehand, the customer service was so bad that I cannot possibly bring myself to try the establishment again, or I received such bad food positioning from them(which this is not the case for this place) that it's my only option to warn future or current clients/customers. Had the manager not been so nasty and rude this post never would've occurred. Idk if this will erase the amazing post I had written previously for them or not. It's just sad for me to take a 4/5 star establishment down to 1. I'd make this place less for how this man...
Read moreI’m a long time customer at Vocelli. I frequently order their lunch specials and build up rewards points with their online ordering through that. Unfortunately I will NOT be ordering from them any more which is a shame because they’re a local chain with delicious food, but I can no longer support their business practices.
They recently updated their online ordering through a new service providers and have made changes to the way their points system works. I redeemed points for a $5 reward to use on a smaller order, and the rewards did not automatically apply like the description said they would. Confused, I reached out to the app’s help section. After two weeks of “investigating” the issue I was told there was now a new restriction to using rewards - a $25 order minimum that wasn’t advertised ANYWHERE in the description. I advised them to update the description so people wouldn’t be wasting rewards like I did. After checking today, there is still no indication of an order minimum in the description for rewards.
I was misled by a change in policy that was not openly advertised, and wasted rewards points as a result of this change. I am on a limited income and could not make an order that met the minimum before this reward certificate expired. I never would have redeemed it had I known about the order minimum in advance.
It’s sad to see that Vocelli has gone the route of so many other places - more interested in profit than being transparent with their customers. I’d never had a bad customer service experience with them until now, and this experience has soured me so much I can’t order...
