When you are a bouncer, part of your job is to de-escalate situations, which is exactly the opposite of what a bouncer did to us yesterday. Yelling, cursing, and basically having a temper tantrum at patrons is just not ok. That punk needs to be taught a lesson in how to speak to human beings. I spoke to who I was told was the owner’s son, only for him to apologize about our terrible nachos which were not correctly prepared, with no apology for the behavior of his staff. I did nothing wrong, but our group was told to leave. Another bouncer told me he’s give me $5 back if I just left without finishing my beer, so I put it down and he said “oh well you already finished it.” Literally at this point it just made me laugh because Service had been so unpleasant (putting it mildly) to this point.
It also took us over 20 minutes to get a beer at the bar; we were largely ignored when we came in.
Terrible service, inappropriate staff, awful food. Don’t worry Spread Eagle staff, we won’t ever...
Read moreThis local place has great food, great service, and awesome specials during the weekdays. My first time there is like any time: you can't predict the traffic. At first there may be a few people in there, maybe just chilling sipping a drink, you order your food, you blink, then look up and all tables are taken. You finish, and then a new wave comes through. The wings are great (a lot of variants).
I can't tell you the best time to go because it's so random, but even when it's knee-deep to the bar you still get fast service. The staff work hard and can hand-off orders to each other so it seems like you don't even know who your server, or bartender was, they all work together seamlessly.
There's a small patio outside to smoke, but seriously while you are there you don't even feel the need to. Great TV's to watch whatever sport on game night too, and it's not too loud. Whatever they did to renovate it the acoustics are just...
Read moreIn Mount Ephraim the Spread Eagle Tavern has been a town staple for years. It was refreshing when the new owners decided to level the old building and put up Camden County's number one bar and tavern. It has a great staff, a roomy bar including a pool table, and amazing food. It's also a great sport’s bar but without that crazy crowd. They have terrific daily specials like Taco Tuesdays for a dollar and on Wednesday the prime rib dinner, a house specialty. We also recommend for an appetizer their homemade fried dill pickle spears or their wings. And two meals that we highly recommend are the fried haddock or any choice of their burgers. Just off of 295 and 168, come in and enjoy a quiet evening in Camden County's number one bar and tavern with good food, good friends and...
