I was in the area and couldn't miss the animal statues display outside of Del Buono's. I had seen it in previous trips but this time I stopped. I'm happy that I decided to investigate. I walked by the cool statues outside into the smells and sight of freshly baked bread. I wasn't ready, I expected isles and a counter not carts full of all types of breads and rolls. I assumed I'd entered through the wrong entrance. Nope, I didn't. You can grab gloves and bag up items of fresh baked goods and take them to the checkout. They have the retail section further in to the right. WOW! Sticky Buns, Jalapeño Cornbread, doughnuts and more! They also have a deli counter and two pickle barrels from which you get the pickles yourself. I ordered the standard size cheesesteak. The lady spread her hand 1 1/2 feet apart. I assumed she meant 12 inches. Wrong again. I got a huge 18 inch steak sandwich with provolone and fried onions. It's full of meat, cheese and fried oniony goodness. Last week I posted a cheesesteak I purchased in North Brunswick NJ for the same price. All I can say is "SHAME, SHAME,SHAME" Del Buono's Bakery puts them to shame. I wholly recommend visiting this Bakery if only for the cheesesteak.

Carmen's Deli Haddon Heights, NJ So the second my mitts wrapped around that bread I was like " I'm in" Carmen's is the sister business of DelBuono's Bakery. Don't let the kitschy ephemera of the building fool you. Yes, there is a T-rex coming out of the roof but that bread is no joke. Just the right amount of crust and chew for a sub and an overall nice flavor profile. Cold cuts are Dietz and Watson but they just hit harder here. Maybe Carmen's just has one of those, wink wink nudge nudge deals to get the goods from the DW. Bottom line, they just tasted better on this sandwich. The balance was great! Enough tomato and lettuce to compliment the meats and cheeses and soak up that vinegar and oil. At a little over $9 for a half sub, yes, it's pricey. So does the quality warrant that? I say yes, if you want me to shell out the bigger bucks, fine quality bread, that will do it.

I use to love this place! My order’s over the past couple of months have been consistently wrong. I’ve given this place the benefit of the thought on every occasion. Unfortunately, today 6/19/2023 will be the last day I ever step foot into this Bakery/Deli. I ordered 3 sandwiches this morning. (1 Sausage, egg, and cheese on a Kaiser Roll/ 1 Steak, egg, and cheese on a long roll/ 1 Steak, egg, and cheese on a Kaiser roll). My steak egg and cheese on a long roll was missing the eggs. My Steak egg and cheese on a Kaiser roll was missing the steak. I was so disappointed that it drove me to the point of leaving this review. This has been a consistent issue over these past couple of months. It’s to the point that I would have to open up all my sandwiches inside the Bakery/Deli just to make sure my order is ok and hold everyone else accountable if it’s not. I can’t deal with the constant disappointment anymore. It’s unfortunate that it’s came to this point for my family and myself as we’ve been coming to the Bakery/Deli for years now.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ 12/31/21 approximately 4:30pm visit for rolls. Just like every where else prices have gone up. Now $10 for 2 dozen dinner rolls but still the best rolls in the area. Happy New Year! 🎊🎉 ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ 8/26/21 Home to Del Buono's Bakery and now with Carmen's Deli. Hours of operation differ for each... Del Buono's Bakery M-Th, Sun 6am-6pm F-Sat 6am-8pm Carmen's Deli M-Th, Sun 8am-6pm F-Sat 8am-8pm Rolls come freshly baked right out of the oven throughout the day. Put on a pair of supplied gloves and grab supplied bag(s) and then bag your own rolls. Great bakery smell and atmosphere. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ 8/19/21 visit to purchase dinner rolls, $9 for 2 dozen. Best dinner rolls in the area and other bakery items too; torpedo rolls, round rolls, bagels, etc. Definitely my goto place for rolls and other bakery products.

Riddle me this… I stop here to grab a breakfast sandwich this morning. I order a pork roll with egg and cheese and ask for extra pork roll. An egg and cheese is $5.25 standard, add pork roll $2.00, so we are at $7.25. Extra pork roll is $4.00 so now we are at $11.25 for a breakfast sandwich. I open my sandwich there was 3 thin slices of pork roll on it. My coworker ordered a standard pork roll sandwich with egg and cheese (no extra pork roll) and his sandwich was $5.25 standard with pork roll +$2.00 so $7.25, I ask him how many slices of pork roll he got and there was two. So you are telling me a standard order of pork roll on a sandwich is $2 for 2 slices, but 1 additional slice is $4.00? How the hell does that work, where is the logic?
