Budget Inn & Suites — Hotel in Mount Ephraim

If I could rate any lower than 1 star, I would. I've been in 4 different rooms and experienced the same in each: The rooms are filthy at best. The floors were sticky, the towels and washrags had stains on them from God knows what, the blankets on every bed smelled of human B.O. and were covered with cigarette burns amd holes, the air conditioner units in each room contained filters that had at least a 1 inch thick layer of dust and looked like they'd never been cleaned (and dust as we all know consists of dead skin cells, dust mites, dead insect particles, soil, pollen, tiny plastic particles, bacteria, hair, and clothing fibers), the bathroom doors dont close all the way if at all, the curtains that are supposed to cover the entire window to keep your privacy were broken and barely hanging on (leaving a 2 to 3 inch gap of open window at either end), and the last 2 times I visited there were women and children with trash bags filled with their belongings sitting on the sidewalk in front of the rooms they were residing in. As i was leaving last visit, a drug overdose was going on. The staff member at the front desk is rude and acts as if you're interrupting him by checking in or out. The cleaning staff stares at you in judgement as you walk by, and they talk about you in their language, which they weren't aware of, but I understood what they were saying. This is one of those establishments that rent rooms by the hour. And the picture they show of the playground is very misleading, as it does not belong to the Budget Inn and was filled with trash debris, drug paraphernalia, and empty liquor bottles and beer cans. I even saw 2 uncapped needles on the ground! The only remotely nice thing I can say about this place is its location: it is located right off the black horse pike near the 295...

This place was horrible! Nothing like what the pictures showed online. We drove up and it looked so run down and beat up. My first thought was okay just cause the outside looks like this doesn't mean the inside does. Got to the "front desk" and I was turned away just by the sight! They couldn't speak English very well at all! Got the room key/number which mind you they aren't to be saying it out loud they are to show you, welp the guy said it aloud, handed us the key through the "glass" window we walked to our room before getting the car. Took one look and was ready to scream. It seemed so dirty. Yeah it was just "cleaned" since the bathroom floor was still wet but you could tell it wasn't kept up with. Went to go get the car, came back thought we left the door open here the "cleaning" lady I assume was in our room giving us fresh towels. She stayed as we were trying to unpack then used the phone and then was like all clean fresh towels you good okay bye and left. There wasn't an in room microwave or frige and oh the "manager" wasn't on the property either! We spent no more then half an hour in the room before going somewhere else. I only choose this place cause the photos and details seemed like your average hotel room and we were only in the area for a concert plus my first choice hotel was...

Beware!!! Water bugs Water Bugs Water bugs !!!!! one crawled on my pillow I thought it was a spider! So I would not rest until that buzzert was found !!! Well one was crushed and here comes another. They seem to have appeared when I sat on the bed! Talking about a bad damn experience! This was the worst I have ever had I was just mortified that these big huge bugs were crawling around my head!!! Then it didn't stop there! They were crawling outside the door on the ground!!! That was the last damn straw for me! So then we go to return the key and a here were more Water Bugs crawling on the main building. A lady was leaning against the wall and I warned her to not stand there because of the huge creatures! How in the world can a place still provide rooms to people when they are infested with bugs!! How? I was itching and scratching all night long! Writing this review is making me flash back to this horrific experience . Last but not least the bed was in horrible shape. The mattress had a very big slit in it and burn marks and other nasty looking stains!
