Angilo's Pizza — Restaurant in Mount Healthy

I tried this whole in the wall pizza joint known for their hoagies according to a family friend from cincinnati. It was not difficult to find & the staff & customers were very helpful. However it was not at all what I expected. Though the staff was friendly & patient unfortunately I waited for my order of (3 small & 1 large) hoagies for nearly 40 mins or so. This was puzzling being there were 3 cooks working to fill orders (mainly sandwiches) constantly. The waiting area was very limited with space for only 3-4 people to stand comfortably. I ordered 2 small chicken teriyaki,1sm royal, & 1 chicken hoagie. The quality of the hoagies to say the least was sadly underwhelming. It looked & tasted as if the shaved chicken on the teriyaki hoagie was hrs old & not freshly made at all. And the chicken sub was nothing special,made with 2 fried chicken tenders laid on the bread with toppings. The hoagie bread itself was delicious & more enjoyable than the sandwich itself. I was also given a complimentary order of wings which was nice but unfortunately too spicy for me to enjoy more than 1. The prices are very reasonable and the bread delicious however if your looking for a full Italian hoagie experience Angilos might not fit that bill. My Family LOVES THIS ANGILOS!! Always Great Food, Great Service, Great Memories. Have been getting food here for 30 years or more, remember when they were located down the street then moved, the other Owners were AWESOME and was sad to see them sell. We were worried over nothing, the NEW OWNERS knew what THIS ANGILOS has always been about GREAT FRIENDLY NEIGHBORHOOD SERVICE, AWESOME FOOD, OLD TRADITIONAL PIZZA OVENS (not the conveyer belt way..which is awful). We use to live in My. Healthy, got married, raised family, now grandkids....and WE ALL STILL ORDER FROM THIS ANGELOS, eventhough none of us live close or in Mt. Healthy. You have done Incredible, Outstanding, Great JOB. Please keep the neighborhood tradition going, wish there were more Family Friendly Traditional Places. Still today, the Family misses ya when vacation weeks come around, lol. The negative people are not use to tradition, and they are use to conveyer pizza not REAL PIZZA. We now live out of state so there's no Angilo's where we're at. We were super excited to order from here yesterday because we haven't had it in years! We order a couple of steak hoagies, pizza, garlic bread and some mushrooms. Let me say the staff was very nice and pleasant! The food was a two and that's being gracious. The hoagies and pizza was so full of sauce that it drowned the taste of everything else out. Not to mention the pizza was BURNT and the garlic bread and hoagies were over cooked! I did not request extra sauce. My father couldn't even eat his hoagie and I couldn't stand the pizza the sauce was coming out the back of the pizza box. It was supposed to be extra cheese and not extra sauce. I usually check pizzas before I leave the establishment but I was chatting with the staff instead. Huge mistake on my part!
