We used to eat here often during the summer. After tonight (10/17), we will never go back again. We were seated when it wasn’t very busy and our order was taken very quickly. As it started to get busy and we approached a full HOUR of waiting for our food, we asked our server if our food will be out soon. We sat there and watched a few tables that arrived a lot later than we did, receive their food. We were told that their kitchen was ‘backlogged’. When I asked the server to check on our food because a huge party seated 30 min after us received their entire meal, I was told “they called their order in”. That was a lie! We watched them order! After 2 hours of waiting, we finally gave up and asked for our drink bill so we could leave to go somewhere else. They didn’t hesitate to get our bill. Nothing was done to rectify the issue. A lot of tables around us were agitated over the wait time as well. As a local, we are very disappointed in tonight’s experience. Sadly, we will not be back. Ugh!! I’d give them 0 stars if I could! When we walked out, we went next door to another tavern called Joy’s Tavern, they were packed but we were served in less...
Read moreBeanie's is probably one of the better restaurants in Mount Joy, though when it turns into a bar, it becomes mediocre. The atmosphere is quaint and interesting (when it isn't stretched to the seams with people), the food is always decent quality and I've never once had a bad experience with any of the service when dining, as opposed to the bar. The only downsides are the prices are somewhat high for what you get, the place can get extremely loud and packed on deal nights (especially their wing night, which is amazing), and the parking is awful (but no better than any other business in this part of town anyways). If you come for the bar atmosphere, I advise you to go somewhere else. The bar staff aren't exactly great, and I've been harassed by the bouncer for inane complaints like coughing. I'm not going back anytime soon. Honestly, it's like the place becomes an entirely different place once they go from restaurant to bar/club. Recommend, but leave...
Read moreI absolutely love this place. They have so many wing flavors, but I always get the suicide sauce. The Hot Honey Garlic is good too. They have a decent variety of beers on tap. The outdoor dining area is nice, if that's your thing. I however prefer not to eat with the bugs and heat. I can't say anything about the rest of the menu, as all I've ever had here was the wings, although I hear it is good. The bartender can get a little weeded and sidetracked, so if you need a beer, get it while you can. Otherwise she is very good and attentive. I recommend this place for anyone with a craving for wings with crazy sauces, or even the normal stand by's. The Bleu cheese dressing is average store bought, not Ken's and definitely not house made. Not enough restaurants make their own dressing anymore. I don't understand why. Parking can be a bit tricky during rush hours, but they...
