I ordered three pizzas for my family. I paid using my debit card, we got the pizzas and that was that I thought. Until a few days later me and my wife noticed that DiMaria's had taken a $500.00 tip from my card plus the price of the pizzas! I called DeMaria's to find out what was happening. The son said that his father accidentally pressed $500.00 not $5.00. He said that he was calling the company to reverse the transaction, why he didn't just give me the $500.00 back with a check or cash I don't know. I was understanding, a mistake is a mistake, granted this was a BIG Mistake! Anyways long story short I ended up not getting my $500.00 back for over a week and the whole time they didn't even offer a pizza or something for this whole fiasco! $500.00 dollars is a lot for me and my family, bills got paid late and we skimped by as far as food because of being short the $500.00. So NO I would NOT recommend DiMaria's, unless you use cash so they don't do this to you!
Did you offer anything for the mistake? Is it my responsibility to fix your mistake? You had me going to the bank for a statement and other chores, yes we talked on the phone that's why I said long story short, and the reason we talked on the phone so many times was because I kept calling to find out why it wasn't back in the account. You are right you can't control the bank, but my point was that the situation only existed because of your mistake I did nothing and yet had to pay late fees on bills I couldn't pay. So therefore you would think you would offer SOMETHING for all of that, but I had to get angry a week into this and calling you multiple times before you actually have me something for the mistake, and that's only because I demanded it as much as I could then when I said I was going to leave a review on these sites you finally gave me two pizzas! If you think that's a good way to handle the mistakes and damages you caused fine but people should be able to know you business practices if you accidentally take 500 dollars...
Read moreDiMaria's deserves recognition for both their quality of food as well as their character as individuals and as a company.
The pizza is great...it has quickly become our favorite in the area. In addition the meals are also excellent. Growing up with my Italian grandmothers cooking constantly, it has always been challenging to find Italian food that has the special taste that would come from my grandmother's kitchen. This has been just about as close as I can find. I'm consistently pleased.
I would be remiss to not call out the incredible character of the employees here. I'll share two quick examples: (1) My wife ordered a number of cannoli's for my birthday (ahead of time) and they came a day early. We told them that this was not a problem at all and we'd be happy to enjoy them on that particular day. The owner politely shared that he wanted to make sure I had the items on my actual birthday...he asked that we keep what he delivered and brought an entire new batch the next day...no charge. (2) Just today, we ordered an extra large pizza...half pepperoni and mushroom, half cheese. When I arrived the owner shared that he noticed my pizza went in full pepperoni and mushroom, so he also threw in a medium cheese and gave both to me...no extra charge. Again - I asked if I could please pay him for the extra as I was not inconvenienced at all - I didn't have to wait any longer. He once again insisted that I take it no extra charge as it was their error. We order from them about once a week...99% of the time they nail the order perfectly.
In summary: a great product run by the kind of people that I'm super happy to support. I'm so grateful that they are in the...
Read moreIt's time to gather your things, stand up, and head for your car, bike, scooter, skates, or whatever you have. This place is at the top of my list for the best bite I have had in Lancaster County. Their Jersey Tomato Pie is a thing of legend. You can smell it when your server is bringing it to your table but is still 10 feet away. You could ask them to walk more slowly to build anticipation. Once it reaches your table and is set on the stand, no one would blame you for closing your eyes and just sitting their in its presence letting the aromas waft into and around you. Its hard to decide if you should take the next step and abandon just smelling and begin eating too. But you will eat it, I am sure you will. A perfect blend of Garlic, Cheese, tomato, and a perfect crust. The cheese has that perfect bite and slight tang of a high-dollar mozzarella. The crust has those little bubbles of a perfectly leavened dough. The tomato, deserves its own paragraph. The tomato sauce must be guarded by high security somewhere. If so, it would be worth an attempted heist. It is absolutely perfect, I want it on everything.
Great staff, family atmosphere, and great lunch...
