Would give zero star if I could. Me and my husband have been coming to Joys for drinks and food for quite some time, mostly takeout. This time we decided to dine in. We will no longer be giving them our business! We sat down and while we decided what we wanted, I went to the bathroom. As I was coming out, our server (Dana) informed me that my husband had ordered a double Tito’s. I told her I would take a double as well. I sat down and she brings 2 double shots. I informed her that I didn’t order the extra double shot, I only ordered 1 double shot. I have an accent so I’m not sure if she misheard me. Instead of just saying she would take it off and try to smooth things over (like any other place would have done), she became very nasty and insisted I ordered it. She then proceeded to say that she’s not the one who is drinking and that she heard me very clearly. We told her to cancel our order and that we were leaving. We also offered to pay for the drinks we had already received. She said “don’t worry about the bill you guys can just leave”! Tell me where this is acceptable at? Then her co worker had the nerve to tell me I was looking for trouble ever since I walked into the door when in really everything was fine up until the point she brought something out which I had not ordered. She got in her feelings and was more focused on proving me wrong than trying to rectify the situation. After we left, we went to beanies where we were treated with respect! I would not go here, stay away! And now after reading all of the other poor reviews, it all makes sense! The food isn’t the issue, it’s the attitudes of the...
Read moreI honestly got to say I really preferred it when it was Mick's Bar and grill. Me and two of my co workers went there tonight for the first time. The food amazing the bartender extremely rude. To start off I called around midnight to simply ask when the kitchen would be closing and if my friend who left his license would be able to show a picture of his and if that would be ok. The response "no I cannot accept that" was perfectly fine but the way it was said was not kind at all. When we got there we went to sit at a table and we were waiting for someone to come over and serve us all she did was shout across the bar to us bar service only, which was said in such an indirect way it took me two times to realize she was even addressing us. In my experience it would have been way more polite and professional to simply take the 10 steps over to our table and explain especially due to the fact it was not busy at all. When we asked for a menu it was 12:35 and she felt the need to tell us 3 times we had 5 minutes to order when I was told we have until 12:45 on the phone. Honestly I j ust felt pressured the whole time to hurry up. I will not be making a second visit which is a shame because the food was great and I wish my tip would have gone to the cook instead. I've been doing food service for a long time now and have never treated people like that. I did not feel welcome as a first timer at all, if it wasn't for my friends being with me I...
Read moreI recently stopped by Joy’s after a busy halloween event and I can’t say enough good things about it! From the moment I walked in, I felt like part of the family. The vibe is laid-back and welcoming, with locals chatting over a few drinks, families in booths, and laughter filling the air.
The food? Absolutely fantastic! I tried their roast beef sandwich and was blown away—juicy, flavorful, and cooked to perfection. They also have some great sweet potato fries that are perfectly crispy. You can tell the kitchen puts a lot of love and effort into everything they send out!
However, what really makes this place special is the owner! Joy is genuinely amazing, stopping by to chat with guests and making sure everyone feels at home. Although, the resturant was super busy that night, she put us in a private room (my husband forgot to make a reservation) and personally took our orders. She made our kids feel comfortable and truly saved us from meltdowns, by bringing the kids food quickly! You can see Joy’s passion for creating a warm, family and friendly atmosphere, and it really sets this bar apart from the rest.
If you’re looking for a great spot to unwind with delicious food and a welcoming vibe, Joy’s is the place to be. I encourage you to visit and also say hi...
