Pavillion Lounge — Restaurant in Mount Olive

I absolutely LOVE dive bars but this experience was just beyond that. My fiance and I stopped in here on a Tuesday night and there were a couple other people there as well. The most unwelcoming bartender took our drinks and told us it was a cash only bar, fine with us but unfortunately we didn't have a lot of cash and there was no atm in the building which was a bummer. We sipped our drinks and took in the environment. They were painting the wall on the one side and also painted black boards to put on the windows?? The smell was overwhelming and I was kind of surprised they wouldn't do this after business hours. The people who were painting and the patrons all seemed to be pretty drunk screaming, cursing, and even people falling. I went to use the womens restroom and there was no door handle on the door and when I walked in it was all torn up with the paper towel dispenser in the sink so I wasn't even able to use the restroom. We thought about getting one more drink since we were already there but the bartender literally just didn't laps around the bar without looking at anyone or asking if anyone wanted a drink so we just took our business elsewhere. Very very odd experience, we will never come back.

What a horrible place This is. We went there at the recommendation of a person. We got there ordered our drinks. The drinks were made completely wrong, and when the bartender was questioned, he immediately had an attitude. He didn’t know how to make a very BASIC drink. WHEN WE ASKED FOR INGREDIENTS TO BE ADDED TO OUR DRINKS, HE IMMEDIATELY HAD AN ATTITUDE AT WHICH POINT I ADDRESSED HIS ATTITUDE WITH A SIMILAR ATTITUDE. He didn’t like that so he told us to leave. This was after I paid him for our four drinks. I said yeah, I’ll leave when you give us our money back for our four drinks. Then we were met with disgusting people in the parking lot sent by the bartender to harass us while we were waiting for our uber. Went here early on a Saturday night, place was empty which was cool because we just wanted to relax, bartender (Collin or Connor, sorry bud) was friendly, and bar atmosphere seemed like it could be fun when it gets busy, especially with a band or event happening. Tried to order some food but was told that the owner/cook went to get cigs or something and would be back in 10 mins (bartender said it would be more, 10 mins is not really 10 mins), waited over an hour and she never came back, even the bartender was worried so I hope she is ok. We left because we were starving, too bad tho, the bartender talked up the food and I was really looking forward to a cheese steak. Anyway, hopefully we can come back sometime and...
