I am sure that the dine-in experience is very different from the delivery service, but from this delivery stand point there are a variety of inconsistencies in the food that I get weekly. I love the food that they bring me, but there is something going on in the kitchen that there I order a “Mandarin Chicken Salad” (which is by the way very delicious, especially with the vinaigrette that they make on the side), except for this week, it did not come with the little baby mandarin orange slices, but last week it did?
I am a very solid delivery customer and I can say that I order religiously. As being very consistent buyers for their food on a weekly basis, I thought I would be considered some type of somewhat a prioritized, in a way, customer because of the frequency of times I order from them, in order to keep my business.
When in reality they still have my business because there are not many places that deliver around this area to my location, this is the strength in their market that they got working for the people here located in this office. But if the only alternative was not just Chinese food, then this Bagel shop would be eliminated from my prioritized places to order.
Food is great, but I’d appreciate that your delivery boy would not return to me because he forgot the jalapeño poppers a few 40 minutes later. One, solid, organized, trip is good enough.
Love y’all though, great food, I just want my order solidly collected before you push it out the door. Love the service too, everyone's really nice and they're always willing to make substitutions and changes to orders for your liking, thank you for that. My experiences here since the office began ordering -- years ago -- were much better than the...
Read moreThis is a painful review for me to write...I have been a regular at Mount Olive Bagels for over five years...Maria and John the previous owners created a unique atmosphere that made you feel welcomed, appreciated, and loved with such a great unique staff that contributed towards the success of the business. Food was great, and experience was great. Which is why its so tragic to see what it has become, Ownership recently changed and no longer the feeling of a high class deli with great products and foods, it now feels like a glorified 7-11 convenience store. The taste and the quality of the products have significantly diminished by switching out products for atrocious coffee, juicers, and grab food on the go experience along with menu items changing for the worse. A new chef was hired to manage and prepare the foods that food quality does not taste the same. But most importantly, a majority of the staff that was there under the previous ownership has either left or has expressed frustrations and disappointment in the new regime that has affected the morale and experience for what the customers expectations are. Three times was my order prepared wrong based on what I requested and you can tell the new ownership is cutting corners to maximize profits for their own pockets. Happy for Maria and John to move onto the next chapter of their lives, but this place does not even hold a candle to the success this lovely...
Read moreMt. Olive Bagels feels like one of those rare finds you stumble upon that quickly becomes a cherished weekly tradition. The place has a genuine mom-and-pop vibe that's harder to come by these days. Their bagels are a testament to what good, simple food should taste like. I usually go for a plain bagel with lox spread; it has that perfect savory flavor that isn’t too salty. And when I’m feeling more adventurous, I dive into their pastrami sandwich, which is always stacked just right, juicy without making the bread soggy.
What's really impressive is how they've nailed the little details. The to-go orders are packed with care, never just tossed in a bag. You get the feeling that they actually want you to enjoy your meal, not just sell you something. It's a small gesture, but it speaks volumes. And while the ambiance is nothing out of a design magazine, it’s the clean tables, the local community board full of flyers, and the faint sound of the local radio station that make you feel like you’re truly part of the neighborhood. It’s this unassuming charm that turns a simple bagel shop into a local...
