The Local Coffee Bar & Cakery — Restaurant in Mount Orab

Tried this place for the first time. Ordered a hot mocha latte with an extra shot of espresso which is my go to drink from any coffee shop. They first made an iced drink which was not what was ordered. I understand mistakes happen, however, my wife and I were the only people inside other than staff so it’s not like they were busy. They remade my drink how it was supposed to be. I took one sip out of it and immediately spit it out. The absolute worst tasting mocha I’ve ever had. The rest of the drink was dumped out in the parking lot before I even reached my car. I will never be returning and will never recommend anyone try here. This was my second visit to the local coffee shop. I'm a fan of the drinks, food, and service! Not to mention all the sweet treats they have to offer from local makers. I have gotten the bronco drink and enjoyed it. I prefer it without the marshmallow flavor personally. The cheese cakes are amazing. The pretzel bites are delicious. I'm working my way through all the pastries, so far the cinnamon pop tart and banana nut and chocolate chip muffins are really good. I tried the biscuits and gravy and avocado toast and enjoyed both! First, I admit I’m a coffee snob, and lived in cincy for years with some amazing coffee shops, so this will probably sound a bit too critical. Coffee is decent. Did ask for half the syrup, and it was still a little too sweet for my taste. Ambience is a little too cookie cutter. Interesting and warm are what I personally prefer.
