Goo's Corner Cafe — Restaurant in Mount Pleasant

The food maybe good at this place but they are unprofessional, childish establishment. THE OWNER recently vandalized my car, slashed my tire & threatened my boss when I parked along the PUBLIC street outside the front of their restaurant. The police confirmed that the street & parking spots are owned by the borough & anyone can park there. The parking is limited in this area & is very congested. I parked along the street & paid the parking meter as a worked my shift tonight. After the owner used profanity & threatened my boss (who is hard working man who does a lot for the community) I soon came out after my shift to find only my car vandalized. When confronted, he was very rude about it & said WELL I shoudnt park there. These ppl are bullies & nothing more but a bunch of thugs! Now my brand new car that I worked 3 jobs to pay for is destroyed!! Maybe they should worry more about the mold growing in their kitchen and the rats all through their establishment rather than who is outside parking along the street owned by the BOROUGH! NOT THEM! Goos is the epitome of low life unprofessional TRASH! Get a life and an education. Later that week the owner was bragging about what he did a a local bar....

Goos has been around since Nixon was in office... maybe longer! It is a great place to get good food and the prices aren't bad. The decor is a bit dated but it is par for an pld school bar and restaurant. The Goos special pizza is an unreal treat that is unique to Goos. Their fried hot peppers in garlic can't be beaten! The service is a little slow at times and there isn't a lot of seating available if you have more than 4 in your party, but there is a small room that can seat about 6 to 8. The original owner passed decades ago but this is one of those rare cases where a family member took over a establishment like this and succeeded in keeping the reputation and recipes intact. If you are a local, you already know about Goo's... if you are coming thru Mt Pleasant and want to grab a good meal without getting all dressed up, put this place...

Ordered food/drinks, got drinks, waited over an hour (and I do mean over an hour) with no drink refills or food or service. Went to the bar asking if our food was almost ready. The bartender/owner possibly? Started yelling at the waitress for not writing our order clearly (meanwhile it was the owner?/bartender that took our order, not the waitress). I confronted the bartender/owner That she was the one that took our order and completely denied it. Paid $46 for two 10’ subs and two titos and soda waters. 0/10. Do not go. Didn’t even bother eating the food after that ordeal. $46 for two Tito’s and...
