On October 13th 2021my wife and myself dined at the Village in Mount pleasant PA. I ordered linguine with chicken and portobello mushrooms. The portobello mushrooms were badly burnt but the chef served it in the linguine dish anyway. The linguine dish had no flavor except for the burnt mushrooms. My wife had spaghetti with meat sauce. The spaghetti dish was floating in water as they had not drained the spaghetti after cooking. The tomato sauce even though it was with meat had no flavor at all just bland tomato. We also ordered an appetizer of chicken wings. The chicken wings had an unusual flavor and odor of fish as they must cook the chicken wings in the same oil as they cook fish. Because they cook the chicken wings in the same oil they cook fish, if you have a fish allergy and order of chicken wings might cause you to have an allergic reaction. For me this restaurant is done. To address the Village restaurants response: l do not go to a restaurant to have a confrontation with the owners, chef or waitresses. If a restaurant was willing to serve burnt food to its customers I did not feel that the owners really cared how the customers felt about their food quality. The service provided by the...
Read moreAttempted to call multiple times before getting a person who didn’t know how to take an order, but attempted to anyways. He didn’t know a meal came with a salad or that they had gluten free pasta. Once he gave up he handed me off to someone who successfully took my order and told me 45 minutes which I thought was a bit long but acceptable.
Once I get there the goofball at the front asks me my name and has me pay for my order and asks me if I want to leave a tip. Well, assuming my order was ready because I arrived a few minutes after I was told my order would be ready I left a $5 tip on the takeout. He then tells me it’s not ready and it will be “maybe 5 minutes.” Another 10 minutes goes by and finally I ask someone at the bar about my order. When they hand me my food, I ask for my $5 tip back since my order was 15 minutes later than expected and they stood there and said nothing. I turned around and left disgusted.
As for the food, the sauce tasted like chef Boyardee, they forgot the balsamic dressing for the salad, and it was ABSOLUTELY not worth...
Read moreThis is a honest review and souly based upon curbside pickup/ takeout. To start, it was very confusing to navigate curbside and where to get ur order from. As far as the staff members they were very nice and helpful. The white pizza crust was very good and the pizza itself was good, I live 2 minutes away and by the time I got it home and ate the first slice it needed heated up so it must have been sitting for a while. I ordered the Italian sampler pasta and to start it was again not warm and needed heated, the sauce was very bland and definitely needed seasoning, it only came with 1 meatball and 1 ravioli, the ravioli was very watery to the point I spit it out, the gnocchi was over cooked in my opinion. I also got wedding soup that was very good and I defiently recommend it. Lastly we ordered a fish sandwich and my dad said it was ok but he doesn’t think he would get it again. We are going to try and eat here again but in person, to see if it’s any different. Again this is my honest opinion and first time...
