Ordered 3 hours in advance on Uber Eats for a schedule ahead lunch. Came into today at my pick up time and they had never made my order. The (what I would assume manager) came up to me and asked if I was sure I ordered here and I said yes. He then looked at their ipad and sure enough they had missed the order. He then tried to tell me it was because I ORDERED on Uber Eats app schedule ahead and that it gives them notifications early then they forget even though they are the ones who offer that option. He then proceeds to say that I should never order there and only on Chow Now going forward. Anyway, he says he will start making my order but he doesn’t immediately and instead I have to wait 20 mins while watching people who just ordered receive their meals. Mind you, this was for a very important client meeting, hence, why I ordered WELL in advance. When my food is ready he comes up to me AGAIN to blame that it was because I ordered on Uber Eats app not because they missed the notification. All I would’ve needed was accountability and an apology and this review would have never happened, but, blaming it on your customer for ordering from a site that you offer services to is a no go for me. Will absolutely not be returning. I will say he did offer me a drink however by that point my food was already ready. This is not to say they did a bad job or the food wasn’t good. It’s purely about not blaming the customer for your inadequacies. Our clients were still very happy with their meals, I though, will never come back. Pick up time 11:45-12:15. I came at 12:13 and didn’t receive the meal...
Read moreDedication to fresh, local, quality food is the mantra here. There is not a bad item on the menu, and there is something for everyone. The fresh-baked breads and house-roasted meats make every sandwich a work of art.
Over the years, the prices have risen and the portions have become smaller, but the quality has never wavered. If you are super-hungry, you might want to call Jimmy John's, but if you want a perfectly crafted, balanced artisan sandwich, come to the Square Onion.
The fresh-made sides offer a changing variety and you can't make a bad choice. I just discovered the bagged okra chips to-go, and have become a junkie.
The chicken pie casserole is my husband's favorite, and while it is not inexpensive, it makes him so happy I have to get him one a couple of times a year.
If money were no object, I would eat here four times a week, that's how good everything is. Do yourself a favor and try the Georgia, the House Ham & Brie, or the Meredith if you're feeling festive. Order...
Read moreSo after reading up on the Square Onion, my son and I headed over for lunch today. The only aspect that surprised me was that there was no indoor seating but that was not an issue for us as there was plenty of outdoor seating and the weather was cooperating. The gentleman that took our order at the window was very nice, I got the half Meredith and half andouille and white bean soup, my son got the goose. The food came out within minutes after ordering and everything was absolutely delicious! We have high standards when it comes to sandwiches and my son said it was the best one he’s had in this area. They also serve several different types of casseroles that I will go back to investigate further. Do not pass on the Square Onion, its a creative concept in a pretty location...
