As a recent transplant from California, I was hoping to taste some food that reminded me of home. However, all I tasted was the oil in my tacos. The meat was tasteless, too, like it had not been marinated. The texture seemed boiled. It wasn't grilled or charred like California carne asada. The rice lacked flavor, too, and tasted mainly of oil. The charro beans were cold. Sometimes chips and salsa can be the saving grace at Mexican restaurants, yet again, though... the oil flavor permeated the chips.

I called to make an order (plus points because staff was friendly) but once I went inside the establishment to pick up the food, the place smelled bad. Not like bathroom or anything it just smelled weird. I ordered 3 tortas (1 pastor & 2 asada), the pastor torta had ham in it which I found weird and both the asada and pastor meat were flavorless and tough- it felt like the meat had been grilled/reheated multiple times and not fresh- felt like chewing on leather. I had high hopes for this place since a lot of people say that the food is really good, but this establishment is not my cup of tea....

They served me with boiled white chicken tacos literally no color or any seasoning, my beans had no salt, my rice was hard, my mom ordered tacos de asada, and they were cold, the salsa Verde was gross, no flavor at all. The owner checked us out and didn't even bother to ask us how was everything, but I went ahead and told her, all I got in response was "ok"!...
