The Chips and queso are the best as a quick grab snack during a busy day or end of day for work so i absolutely recommend them. We wanted to go after work with our kids as a special treat since they really enjoy the chips and queso, but we called Dec. 30th around 12:50-1pm to make sure that getting just the queso was fine or if we'd be charged for chips and salsa too since most places will charge you if you only get drinks, but we were buying queso so it wasn't like we were going in getting a drink and dipping out, but to be sure we asked to verify three times before going so we weren't being disrespectful about it especially since it also didn't state it on the menu anywhere either. We made sure we also weren't going in during super busy hours like dinner rush. We got told it was fine and no extra charge if we bought the queso. We went on the 30th, no issues all was well- the next day we visited was Jan. 2nd and that time we bought a large and small queso and drinks, again no issues nothing was said and then our kids asked if we could go again today after work so of course we did and then today having the same server as the first initial day, we got told it wasn't allowed and we couldn't keep coming unless we bought full meals for at least half the table (which would have been about $50-70 and not why we went in for the first place). We let them know we didn't know that, in fact we called to make sure that it was fine for this reason to avoid it being an awkward situation so we were then told the hostesses don't know anything and unless we're told by the servers or managers specifically, we can't go based off what we were told on the phone. It really was just an awkward encounter with not much transparency with this situation or we'd have not gone in at all and rather had ordered over the phone since all we really wanted was chips and queso. I'd just suggest the menu have some sort of statement about half the table needing meals for chips and queso to be served as well as only having the servers/managers answer the phone if the hostesses aren't equipped to answer simple questions over the phone. We probably won't be going back in since we can't get the queso unless we buy a whole meal for half our family, but possibly order over the phone for pickup from now on to avoid it being awkward or go to Pittsburgh instead. Really though, I wish we were just told this when we asked or by the server the first day instead of being served as if it was okay. She was nice and friendly though and a good...
Read moreIn the quiet corner of East Texas, where the roads converge like lines on a forgotten star chart, there exists a modest structure known to locals as Two Señoritas. At first glance, it appears as unassuming as any terrestrial eatery—brick, stucco, and neon. But what lies within suggests something more… transcendent.
Upon entering, I was struck not by the décor (though charming in its rustic, Earthbound way), but by the atmosphere. There is a rhythm to this place—subtle, almost mathematical. Conversations flow in fractal patterns. The scent of spices hangs in the air like dark matter—present, essential, yet unseen.
I ordered what they called the Tres Amigos Enchiladas, a name evoking companionship and journey, not unlike a voyage to Europa or the moons of Saturn. The dish arrived steaming, a trinity of flavors—each enchilada its own celestial body, distinct in mass and gravity. The green sauce, piquant and vibrant, pulled at the senses like a magnetic anomaly. The red, bold and smoky, reminiscent of Martian regolith kissed by flame. The sour cream drizzle… cool, white, elegant—like lunar ice.
The rice and beans formed a binary orbit, circling the main dish with quiet devotion. There was no artifice here. No deception. Merely the refined product of generations—like a spacecraft, honed by trial and error, finally achieving liftoff.
The staff were kind, their service almost predictive—appearing with refills just as your glass approached depletion, like a satellite aligning with your needs before they are even voiced. One waitress, I swear, moved with the precision of an orbital maneuver.
By the time I departed, full and contemplative, the sun was beginning its descent behind the pines. And I thought: perhaps it is not on some distant world where we shall first encounter the sublime, but right here—in Mount Pleasant, Texas—through something as simple and astonishing as a perfect plate of enchiladas.
Final analysis: Two Señoritas is not just a restaurant. It is a beacon. An anomaly. Proof that great mysteries can exist not only in the stars… but...
Read moreIt's really hard to rate this because there are so many variables to consider, and I want to be fair. To make a long story short, I was there for a gender reveal scheduled at 1 p.m. on a Sunday. We were told that as long as we all (15) were there by 1, we would be seated. 4 of us arrived around 12:30 and wanted to go ahead and place our orders because we had another engagement and would have to leave at 2p.m. So, we took another wait list for 4 and were seated within a reasonable time while the rest of the party waited for the other table, which was ready around 1:30 ish. When the guy took us 4 into another area to be seated, there were hundreds (?) of empty tables, to which he said before he realized it, "Well, this is stupid, I don't know what's going on." Anyways, the young girls at the front, in charge of acquiring the tables for us (about 4 of them) seemed clueless, except for one, but she was a bit shy, and the other girls weren't listening to her. I mean, whatever system they were using was not working. They were very unorganized and unprofessional. Now, to be fair, once we got past the "much ado about nothing" crew,😂 our waitress was very good and accommodating. Three of us had the fish tacos, and one had the tilapia meal. Let's just say the tacos were ok, but the tilapia was way over cooked.Anyway, I like the atmosphere of the crowd, and our waitress was on top of her game. Will I return? I have no plans on it! Do I recommend this place? I will say to call first and see if it is crowded, and perhaps order something other than...
