I only chose this Days Inn because I had been on the road all day and my final stop was still another 8 hours away. ||I'm not a hotel snob, but I also know that Days Inn used to be an okay place to stay. Not so much anymore, locations can be hit or miss, more misses nowadays.||The parking lot was a little dark, and the adjacent bar seemed like it was busy. The noise level from the bar in the lobby and parking lot was noticeable, fortunately once I was in my room, it was non existent.||The lady at the front desk was chatty, and friendly in the great Texas way. She put me in room 101 which would be around the corner. This property is an older one, with exterior rooms. My room was dark, but spacious and seemed clean. I just wanted to get some sleep after adjusting the a/c and turning the tv on so I didn't do a how clean is this room inspection. My room did have a second door that might've had access to the interior part of the hotel, I'm not sure. I managed to get a few hours of sleep before being on my way early in the morning. For the price of around $60.00 I can't complain. I arrived after dark in the evening, and left while it was still dark in the morning, that might've been...
Read moreWe drove 10 hours, Thanksgiving day and they didn't have the room I paid for on October 30th. I wanted 2 queen bed and not a king. ||Second issue, the bed wasn't made, so we had to wait for that.||I called last night to ask what time breakfast is, and they just serve coffee. ||I'm in town for a family wedding. I booked this hotel specifically for the pool tables, and free breakfast. I needed something cheap to entertain my family with because I'm on disability. I'm already crying because this has been a disaster. ||I'm blaming Trip Advisor. This isn't even the same hotel! Yes, it's The Executive Inn, but the amenities, pictures, etc. are not this hotel. |Trip Advisor redirected to Expedia, which is fine (I've used Trip Advisor a lot), and they didn't have the room. I paid over $300 for this hotel, and now I have to spend a few hours today looking for a new one, packing everything up, moving hotels, unpacking... I have service dog, and mobility issues. I hate this.||This is not the hotels fault, they were trying to accommodate as much as possible. I'm grateful for...
Read moreThe room rate was $70. On the phone the guy said $15 for my Dogs fee. When I got there he changed the Dog fee to $20.
I got in the room. It was absolutely dirty. At least the furniture was. The heater did not work, it looks disgusting. The curtains are ripped. It’s extremely dated. And in bad shape. As far as the furniture goes. The sofa is so dirty I literally did not want my dogs laying on it.
I asked for a refund. Jay at the counter said OK he would refund me $70 because we used a towel. Then he Refunded me $60.
They play Willie Nilly with the prices.
It’s 2 o’clock in the morning. I need to go find another place to stay. At this point, I’d rather sleep in my car.
It is truly disgusting. What they are doing with changing the prices...
